a move away from Slop???? I think it would be safe to say that his shows seemed to interest many of us here more than others. Seems like his offerings of late are dismal at best. Most of the old models etc. The only new line that is getting any attention is the Triumph brand. Mostly inexpensive quartz models?? Just wondering your thoughts. |

I agree Tony, the models seem to be two yrs old at best....same old same old. Maybe Lior just can't purchase the watches like he use to...I have not seen a Rotary in a long time...thank God as I was sick of the flipper!!!! |

I "listened" to SNBC today for the first time in many moons ... I'm just not a fan. And oddly, I had the same thought ... what's happened? It's so daggum boring .. But this caught my ear ... YKW mentioned a Watch Newsletter ... sign up, etc. Now, this may not be news - couldn't go by me - as I said, I'm not a fan. But the way it was announced made me think - NEW! Is it? If it IS new ... I can't imagine there's enough to write about ... Not taking a shot, it's just there's nothing new and/or exciting at SNBC - IMHO. Well, that was my SNBC Watch Show experience for the first half of 2007. I'll catch it again sometime in the fall ... |

He hasn't even been at slop as often as usual, it seems. In the same vein, where is our entertaining and bringer of goodies, Judah Perlstein????? :? Since he was the spokesperson for Akribos before Tim went to SAH, I'd hoped and thought he'd still be, but that other fellow's doing it. If OG's right, I hope he can soon give us good news about JP,too. Tony Duronio wrote: a move away from Slop???? Oh, Gawd, you have to be wrong! I hope you are wrong. He was so out of place at SAH before Tim it was embarrassing. And, at QVC they've just learned that if what holds the watch on your wrist is made of leather, it is called a strap. If it's made of some kind of metal, it is called a bracelet! They are also fascinated by anything non-quartz! This is NOT the place for our Judah. Please, have Tim bring him over to SAH! mcwright wrote: Judah was last seen on QVC selling Stuhrling I believe. |
