Mine is the Renato Rubber / Gold Plated Wildebeast. It is a high level 5 piece construction
swiss G10 chrono mvmt and a very substantial time piece. I think the bottom line is if you
really like the watch any reasonable price is OK, regardless of the type of mvmt.

High level 5 piece case???? Dont most companies brag about carving out a watch from a solid chunk of steel????

G-10???This movement has been around since the Lupah:D

Boy do I remember those dayssnoopy1.gif

The only valid statement is...if you like it then buy it!

You guys can bash Renato all you want. I own two of them. Yesterday, I went to the brick and mortar watch shops with a relative who was looking for a "name brand" or something that caught his eye etc etc. I bet I hit 5 independant stores and one jewlery exchange with about 10 watch dealers. They all could not belive the quality of my Rose T-REX with raw CF chocolate face and rubber strap. They even basically ignored him to look at my watch. he was so pissed at that, he walked away from one shop cause he was looking at a 4 grand list watch and they were to busy oooing and ahhing over mine. Then when I told them the price, they were surprised at the affordability. One shopowner asked me if i'd be willing to take 800.00 for my watch. (I paid about 600 with tax and S&H). I gave him a quick ...NO!

Some people/companies learn from previous experiences and better themselves and their companies. While it is unknown if RENATO will ever be to the masses what other well know brands have become, to those of us buying them and enjoying them, they have already arrived at that status.

As long as YOU enjoy what you spend your hard earned dollars on, well, that is the only thing that counts. So, BASH away if you please.

Welcome to 3T!!  Why would you choose to introduce yourself by trolling for a 4 month old thread. C'mon now... That is just silly!!

If you like your Renatos... great... enjoy them and I hope they serve you well. But please don't come to this forum and try to stir the pot...

Again, a most sincere welcome to 3T!!

Well, actually, I only found this site today and signed up. I did a search for Renato and found some references to DM and then to Ranato. All things are subject to change and I thought maybe some folks might be more receptive  than they have been in the past. I did not consider my posts as stirring the pot. Just sharing my likes.  For those of you that don't like the Renato, fine. I don't personally like the way SNBC treats their customers but do like some of their products and pricing. I don't  care where the watch is assembled as log as I I like what I am getting. With the welocme I have received, I will go back to forums that are more receptive to others personal choices. Administrator, please feel free to cancel my user account.

No need for all that. clearly you have no interest in what is currently going on in this forum and look to dig up that which offends your senses. You are more than welcom to participate here, but we don't need to rehash old posts. You will find many of us have in the past and do currently buy from Slop. But we all know what a crapshoot that can be... As for the Renatos... to each his own... personally I would have grabbed the 8 bills and bought Swiss... Ultimately it is up to you to buy and wear what makes you happy. No need for afirmation, right??

I love my Renato.

I can barlely step outside of my house before I am accosted by admirers asking me where I got my  awesome watch. My mailman is a huge watch enthusiast and he offered me $3000 for it the other day and I said "Hell NO!"  He has 20 Breitlings and he told me my Renato blows every single one of them out of the water when it comes to fit and finish.

I sure do love this watch.....and you know what?  It keeps much better time than my Rolex.  Actually it keeps better time than all my Rolexes (I have 5).  Since I bought my Renato, all of my Rolexes just sit in my watch box and never get worn.  Well, I mean all of them except for the one I took out behind the shed and smashed with a hammer becuase I was mad that it wasn't as good as my Renato.

Ok, gotta go now because some guy who works at my local Omega AD is knocking on my door.....he's kinda been stalking me since I went to the store and showed him my Renato.

Later!  rev_smile.gifrev_smile.gifrev_smile.gifyourock.gifyourock.gifyourock.gif

That was a good one. I do have to say though that many of my cheaper watches DO keep better time than my Rolex Sub. Of course it is like 32 years old in a desperate need of service (been over 10 years) and looks like it has been through a meat grinder. If I'd quit buying other watches I'd have the grand or better to get it serviced and refurb'd. Guess I'll check out those Renato's

Foster, that was freakin' hilarious!!

Why is it that the Renato fans are always telling s how somebody wants their watch so bad? I think they need the affirmation justthat bad...

I  read a lot and post seldom but your take on all of this "my AD drooled over my Renato" BS is spot on!!

The fact is that no self respecting AD is going to be drooling over the watch you are wearing-only the one you might be buying.
