We had a Channel Master Tv about same size... and I was watching the same shows (also McHales Navy and Hogans Heroes)... And I do remember owning a Pulsar LED - blank red plastic face; hit a button and..ooo... the time, hit again and...ooo... the seconds. Hitech stuff back then, whenever then was (early 70s?)...;) canadajo wrote: I am old enough ... they were shown in the mid 1960's , live on black and white TV .... we had a used TV bought from the hospital with a "clicker" channel changer ...it was the 19 inch Zeinith model .... My first watch I was 10 and it was a Seiko auto diver on a strap. If I took care of it my dad was going to get me a Rolex when I turned 11 and he did.

First watch....wow....remembering that would require digging into those memory cells which were long destroyed on drunken Friday nights in College...but i would guess it was a Casio digital.... ...But a few years later in my early teens .... it was a Raymond Weil quartz.....white dial, arabic numbers, dark brown leather strap.......lost it playing a pickup game of football with my neighborhood friends...Wish i still had that one.The Raymond Weil was the beginning of my undiagnosed condition of "Obsessive Watch Disorder" (OWD) ;) Erik

The first watch I remember was a Westclox Scotty pocketwatch I bought for $2.50 in the mid-late 1950s. It was amazingly accurate. It looked just like this one:
