You know, when a new watch company starts up, I would think they would make a statement on design, not do a complete rip off of another company. The new g series is a direct copy of my Nivrel. I don't think thats a compliment to Nivrel. The only difference is the dial. Big whoop! Hands the size of tree trunks looks frankly stupid and out of place.

It also uses a steinhart caseback. Gee, how much does it cost to source off the shelf parts? I won't be buying an Asianese watch.

I agree Sean.  Everything on that one was off the shelf and slapped together.  Didn't go over very well I think.

But,  he is designing a new GMT diver for production later this year....

From what I have seen of the "original" designs so far (jmho), I doubt it!  He may be coming out with it, but designing it?  Additionally, he designs by committee on his forum................and we all know about that..............it is said the a camel is nothing more than a horse designed by committee!

Thanks steve. I compared the pics that were posted on wus to my nivrel. Other than the dial, ther identical. It takes quite abit to get me fired up, but this is a replica. Maybe some of there new watches will have there own character. But from the drawing board to whats showing up are 2 very different watches.

One hump or two? :D Imho,  I actually like the committee approach - if you look at the drawing below, the modified crown protection, skeletonized GMT hand and reflector dot/# layout was what I contributed to the camel...heh...  ;)

would you buy the g series thats out today? Its just a redialed steinhart. Id like to see how they tested it for there water resistance rating. I mean look who's out there in start up mode. Theres scorpion, with a very solid watch, its out selling ocean. theres Enzo. I have 2 of his watches now. there a in your face diver with presence. no commitee. Even Bathys sells all of his watches. The oceans have gone nowhere except to forum members. I'd rather buy a Timex.

You got my Orsa from Oscar. So we should call it the

passaround orsa? One thing I can say about that watch, it shows how well they are really built.
