hi guys, i'm new to the forum, and fairly new to watches as well. i've been looking for a good watch forum for some time now, and it looks like i've stumbled on a great one! anyway, i purchased a hamilton khaki automatic from altivo timepieces the other week, an authorized hamilton dealer, but when the watch arrived, i noticed they didn't stamp the warranty card; now according to hamilton, no stamp=no warranty. i contacted altivo, and the resopnse was: "You do have warranty, just keep the purchase invoice. In USA most watch companies do not ask for the stamp. Also due to a lot of returns and exchanges we can not fill out and stamp the warranty booklet with each purchase." does this sound right? i've never bought from a dealer before, so i'm not sure if this is standard.... thanks in advance, and i look forward to learning alot from you guys in my time here. cheers. Hey Bitten...Welcome to 3T!cool10.gif as for the warranty card stamp I can say some of mine are and most aren't but as long as you have a dated bill of sale that would work the same I believe...I know Ken had his T.J Maxx Hammy serviced by Hamilton without problemhand6.gif |

I have a hamilton from carlyle jewelers. No dealer stamp is really needed. I have the waranty card. If you get one online where the warranty card stamp is crossed out and another put in, then you have a problem. Tag won't take a watch without proof of purchase from a authorized dealer, so I ask that question 1st before bidding. What good is a new watch with no warranty? |

agreed. i made sure they were a dealer before i made the purchase; found them on the hamilton website, so i was alittle surpised when they didn't stamp, but it's looking like all i really need is the purchase invoice? |
