Hey guys...................look at what I found in my email this morning.mistake.gif  This is one sick puppy.........subtlelaugh.gif....I am beginning to wonder what psych ward DOXA found him in!mistake.gif

As stated before, I welcomed his challenge to compare DD 214's.  This is his cowardly and sick response........whether it is a real email or not, I do not know, nor care...........but with his newly found reputation as a liar and a fraud....I'd put him right up there with Corona Gorda!

As a note:  He keeps stating that I claimed to be a "hero".  I did not.  Read the post.  Idid not...I stated only that I was highly decorated and combat wounded (not a claim - a fact)..........but then, again, a liar is a liar is a liar!

BTW, I notice he didn't call himself "Lord" in the Army......perhaps because others simply referred to him as "Sick POS"!

Generals, Distinguished Gentleman,

I would like to introduce to you a true war hero.  I only know him as Ken C (kjcforummail@gmail.com ).  Kens Unit...

You may ask how I know this man is a real war hero?  Well he told me himself.

Here are his own words..."Typical of the attitude that Vargas came onto this forum with............and quite frankly, as a highly decorated and combat wounded former Army (Armor) Captain that did 2 combat tours in Vietnam (along with others here who valiantly served) as both a LRRP and an Infantry Company Commander, I take real exception to his abusing his military service to explain away his absolute rudeness!  When you are wrong, you are wrong....stand up and take it like a man..........as any true current and/or former member of the US Military knows, one of the primary teachings is to take responsibility.....not just in word, but in deed! "

Now Ken C took exception because I stated I had been in Panama, DS1, and Somalia.  He felt it was his duty to inform me, and other he was a war hero by describing himself as a "Highly Decorated and Combat Wounded Veteran".

This is one of the few times in my life that a Hero actually came out and stated it, not only to me, but to others as well, I am sure he wanted the respect of his fellow forum members, and did not want them to miss out on a real live war hero.

Well, I was so impressed by this selfless act on his part to announce himself, I just had to inform you all that we have not had the pleasure to meet such a distinguished gentleman, and that we should each and every one of us congratulate him in person.

However, Ken C. also would like to compare DD-214's to ensure that he is in fact a true war hero.  My question to all of you, is since many of you are senior officers, and General Wheeler you being the highest Officer amongst us, in what fashion shall we conduct this?

In addition, in light of the Stolen Valor Act Recently Passed and several of you are chomping at the bit to actually see it enforced this is a good case study.

Please send all responses too... kjcforummail@gmail.com, as well as me.

What say ye men?

John Vargas

CPT USA (MED-RET)

P.S.  Although this is being send to thousands, please keep forwarding it.  I do not want this "hero" to miss out on what he deserves.

This was my response to him which has just come back as he has blocked his email, as a coward would do.

Vargas,

This is typical of how a coward acts.....................I have no fear of
you or your threats.  My DD 214 backs up my words.  You offered to to
compare them, and now you renege with a childish joke that will accomplish
nothing.  The address you give is a dummy that can be changed at will.  You
on the other hand, may soon find yourself being investigated for violated US
Anti-Spam laws.

I also love the way you forgot to post YOUR side of the
action...............so I invite full investigation under the Stolen Valor
Act it will give me a bit of fun in a counter-suit.

You really are a joke and a disgrace to combat veterans everywhere!

Do you mean he told another lie............go figure!  Hey, he was stupid enough to include the list of email addresses to which he sent his email this morning.  If they actually know him, I sure they know him for the of-base lunatic that he is and will let the matter drop.  If not, I'll simply publish their email addresses here............tit for tat...so to speak. :dude:

Well from a US Navy Veteran. 3ed generation at that I say don't think twice on.

If you served your country thanks. But one thing I have found in my journey on the web. Such chatter is common. I have been on a few Veteran forums since 1996 and see such often.

Anyone not with the DoD or the VA wanting to see my DD-214 can make an appoint!

As a chief of mine use to say often. "Ain't nuttin but a thang"! ;)

I posted this on another thread and just had to repost:

"Something just occured to me.  Why hasn't John V.  posted his proof?  He started a firestorm that doesn't seem to be going out soon and also seems to be fanning the flames.  Th DD214 thing is about as chickens**t as I have seen in a long time. My saying is , "Been there done that got the medical records to prove it".  I have read Ken C's posts on various forums for quite awhile now and have the upmost respect for him.  Instead of questioning DOXA I am now starting to question John V and his motivation behind this.  Whatever benefit of the doubt I may have given John V is now gone.  It might be time to throw the BS flag,  John V now seems to be just another disgruntled employee who has been shown the door."

Don't know alot about the Swiss watch industry but I am sure John V.  had to sign a non disclosure agreement when he went to work for DOXA.  That said maybe he is now getting his "insanity defense ready" for the eventual law suit.

Thanks, Popeye...........bottom line is that he has not demeaned me......he has only denigrated himself with his comments.

Personally......I don't have a DOXA and don't know what to think.  I do like the designs, don't know the quality and question the value......but hey...I'm open-minded!

WTF?????

Something is very wrong with that dude, borderline maybe.  I have to say that in all my postings and exchanges, KenC is a really nice guy.  I was never in the military though I worked for the DoD during Desert Shield/Storm and spent a little time (6 weeks) in Saudi/Bahrain fixing comm equipment.  While it was no picnic I am sure my experience cannot in any way compare with the experience of those who served in the Vietnam War.  I worked with a number of guys who did tours in Nam and the stories they told still haunt me.

I wish you all the best Ken, and everyone here (with one notable exception) too.  Also, what the heck is with the 'Lord' crap???  A self bestowed honorific?  If so that spells delusions of grandeur...

Sincerely,
Griff

My only observation is that for someone who claims to have held the rank of Captain he certainly sounds unusually stressed and in need of some remedial spelling and grammar training.

If he is claiming that he has received various awards which he actually has not then such misrepresentation might be construed as a U.S. Code violation which could result in prosecution.

Ken C., you have nothing to prove to anyone.  Your service record is well known on a variety of forums and your record will stand up to any scrutiny and I'm sure is a source of great pride for you and your family.

Mike and Griff.........thanks.............Please note his email states CPT-MED.  Doesn't mean he was a doctor (also) but means he was a non-combatant.  That said, if he really did serve, in whatever capacity, I applaud him for that, despite his current shenanigans.

Suffice it to say, I have yet to hear from any of his "Generals and Distinguished Gentlemen".  If I do, it's not really a problem......my personal reach into the Pentagon lands higher than General Officer.  But I doubt if his reach is real!

BTW guys, I never stated nor claimed to be a "hero", nor will I ever.  I have known many heroes in my life, and what I did, can never reach the level of attainment in personal bravery that they exhibited.  I simply did my job....and, I am proud of it!

This is really funny. Im thinking you guys are making some of this up. This is so hard to believe that a person can be so messed up (focused on negativity). For a grown man he is acting like my 11 year old son.! If he doesn't get his way he'll wine. LOL.

I've got to agree with Yamahaki.  The only thing positive out of this whole Doxa mess is that John V. has "shot himself in the ass" on just about every existing watch forum and Doxa has sent a whole lot of people packing from their "official" forum to excellent forums such as this.  Doxa the watch will remain well respected and deservedly so.  Doxa the company, well they need some work in the PR and CR arenas or plan for their next debacle.  Let's not waste our attention where it is not appreciated in the first place.  Let's instead talk about watches.

And if Hooters is open on Easter I can't think of a better place to celebrate the holiday.

I don't think he'll be doing that as he'll be busy scouring all of the McD's and BK's explaining that as an expert in anything and everything, he really is worth the risk to hire at $12 an hour..............

Unfortunately, I am not that forgiving when it comes to attacking my military service.  Before I would even consider it, this "muke" needs to post his DD Form 214 that shows his single award of the Good Conduct Medal and then I will post mine.  At that point, I would demand a personal and pubilc apology.

Without that, he can shove his DOXA's up his................!

Wow, unbelievable. I am sorry to hear about this. Just got back from a quick trip and can't believe what I see here.

I think I'll post some more of his emails tomorrow.............he actually called my home today and left a message with my wife for me to call him!!!!

DD Form 214, Discharge Papers and Separation Documents
A Report of Separation is generally issued when a service member performs active duty or at least 90 consecutive days of active duty training. The Report of Separation contains information normally needed to verify military service for benefits, retirement, employment, and membership in veterans' organizations. Information shown on the Report of Separation may include the service member's:
  • Date and place of entry into active duty
  • Home address at time of entry
  • Date and place of release from active duty
  • Home address after separation
  • Last duty assignment and rank
  • Military job specialty
  • Military education
  • Decorations, medals, badges, citations, and campaign awards
  • Total creditable service
  • Foreign service credited
  • Separation information (type of separation, character of service, authority and reason for separation, separation and reenlistment eligibility codes)
The report of separation form issued in most recent years is the DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty. Before January 1, 1950, several similar forms were used by the military services, including the WD AGO 53, WD AGO 55, WD AGO 53-55, NAVPERS 553, NAVMC 78PD, and the NAVCG 553.
