I'll let the experts determine the quality of the ETA used...nice to see a signed rotor....would have been nicer to see a metal retainer and a gasket used:( Guess that is why only 3 ATM WR.......................

Good news is it is running -8 seconds in its first full dayhand6.gif

The plastic will outlive us all, TD, so no worries on that account.

I know Mark........you would think a 25 cent rubber gasket would have at least made the think 5 ATM:? waterproof.............

No big worry, love the watch, Thanks:)

plastic only degrades when coming into contact with uv. It leeches the oil out of the plastic. Dupont found that out the hard way years ago. Newer plastics are much tougher. I have a plastic welder that has a number of different sticks for many types of plastic. I'm pretty sure what is used in a watch will out live the user.
