OK...looking for suggestions. I have a birthday and Anniversary coming up soon. The wife says since I'm such a pain to shop for, pick a watch in the $500 range for the b-day. Then for our wedding aniversary pick one in the $1000 $1500 range! I have quite a few ideas already but love to hear whats on the minds and lists of fellow watch addicts.

Well, I really only know about dive watches. I can think of plenty of great watches, in particular in the $1000-1500 range, but the recommendations won't be much use if you like dress watches, pilot watches, or chronographs. What are you looking for in both watches?

Well if you like divers, you can get an Orsa Sea Angler for under $500...

an Ocean7 LM-2 for around $700...

Doxa 750T for the $1000-$1500 range...

Happy hunting and could you pls have your wife call my wife? :shock::shock:

try watchbuys. They have the new Nivrel deepsea 1000m chronograph. nice size, a diver, dress and chrono in one package. Or a nice stowa? what are you looking for style wise? My accutron ad here has some accutrons for 50% off .

Here are 4 choices I would consider (for your birthday) not knowing anything about your tastes, etc. All four of these are exceptional watches for the money that just about anyone here would be happy to own.

Definitely a pilot style: black dial, arabic #'s, no smaller than 42mm. I've been looking at Zeno, Aristo, some or the Russian brands. Definitely another diver; I like the Orsa, have seen other colors that I prefer (older models?). That lime-green Stowa is sweet!! Thats why I love coming to forums....tons of ideas!

The ORSA lume dial, in person, is soooooooooo much nicer than the photos!  Stowa is sweet and the ZENO Pilot watches are awesome!
