Chronoswiss is adding the words CASP to its watch line, which means "Certified All Swiss Parts." I talked with Gerd-RĂ¼diger Lang, founder and owner, and this is how he explained it: "We want to certify that we make watches with 100% Swiss parts, and the term 'Swiss Made' is not enough. I heard back a few moths ago someone else was going to be doing that starting in 2008 but forget who. But it is a great idea. Good reason though for the price to go up too. Give and take huh.
I don't believe this reflects a change in manufacturing strategy - I think its just a way to give customers a warm and fuzzy (kinda opposite of recent events on another forum). But yes, its gotta impact the bottom line in some way... :shock:
