Well after the sell off, some of the emails I recieved were not very nice. All watches that sold were new, no scratches, working perfect and I get the:  I expected more for my money routine, can I have some more off the price or I will have to send it back speech.: every watch sold at a loss! I told everyone of those people to send them back less shipping and insurance. none took me up on the offer. from now on, I only sell to people I know.period.:X

Now you are making me feel guilty about sending you that nasty, name-calling email..coyote2.gif..........oh wait, that wasn't you.:D

If every watch was in the same condition as the one I bought, there is no room for complaint!  It was appleABgWHT.gif!thankyou.gif

I never timed it but mine also runs little fast.  I love the watch, though.

BTW, I would buy/trade watches with you anytime.

What the... Doesn't anyone do any research before buying a watch? All of your watches for sale were at great prices, and people still have the audacity to ask for money off after they received the watch??

How hard is it to do a little research on the internet? This isn't the only watch forum. You can ask on other forums how the watch is and if it is a good price if you have no clue.

People just surprise me all the time.

Sean,

I've sold two watches here and bought several others. ALL of my interactions have been great whether buying or selling. Lets not paint everyone with the same broad brush. You have beautiful pieces at great prices. When you are putting so many pieces out there for sale you are bound to run into some unfriendly, hard-to-satisfy folks. I hope none of the buyers were regular 3T members? I remember selling one watch and had the person (not a regular 3T member) complain because he discovered some scuffing using his jewler's loupe! I hope you will continue to list items that regular 3T members might be interested in buying or trading. I don't want to lose the opportunity to give a good home to some of those beautiful orphans! ;)

What a load!! Your prices were beyond reasonable and having received a watch from you I am certain they were all in primo condition. Buyer's remorse may be??

buyers remorse for sure pax. When I get one, and find its not what I expected even after looking at the watches specs, not the sellers description, I can sell the watch. Its not the sellers fault at all. I didn't paint a wide brush on this. just a statement of fact. If you sell enough on ebay and wus, you do get jaded at the 70% of the responses that are thrown at you. It doesn't happen here much but it does happen.here are examples of responses. some of you fit this, 99% don't on this forum.

1. hey, I only have so much in my paypal account. will you take that for your watch? stupid question. transer more to your account and pay the sellers price.

2. you want to trade for? usually a watch worth half of what you posted. If the ad states for sale, no trades, conus only, take it at face value.

3. your watch isn't worth that much. I hate that one. The watch is worth the value I place on it. If you really wanted the watch, you would pay the price because the offered price is well below what you could get it for at the ad or online reseller, and in better condition.

4. The potential buyer who strings you along with endless questions while there are other potential buyers who have to wait, because as a seller, its 1st come 1st serve. I f you don't believe that, ask Ken. He came at me 1st for the daniel mink, even though there were better offers on the table. Ken wins because he got there 1st.

look at what I still have to offer on this forum. all are hundreds below retail. All are sold at a loss. This isn't a business for me. its about getting watches and making some people happy by putting a expensive watch within there means.

Comes with the territory.

About 10 years ago it was only hard core WIS and within a year, you could have sold to/bought from or traded with anyone that was on-line (I still think there were no new watches, just the same ones making the rounds between us ;) ).

The weirdest thing was that at that time, you could absolutely trust any of the guys with any transaction and the honor principle worked very well.

Now I hate to sound like one of those "in the good old days" guys, but with the rise of the internet and re-birth of the mechanical watch industry, you now have many people on-line that just don't have the "netiquette" down (never taught or learned) and feel sort of entitled. I have seen people show up on forums, drop a question and be upset if noone answers them. They really don't get the whole community thing.

And naturally, whenever something of value is in the mix, you naturally attract lowlifes only out to cheat / make a quick buck.

These days, I try to deal with people I know, not worth the risk and aggrevation any other way.

Cheers

Matt
