I usually wear my bracelet watches a bit loose but what about the larger, heavier models like the Seiko Monster - can these be worn loose too or is it best to keep these heavier ones snug?

Hey OP, I actually like the larger ones to be loose and the smaller ones to be snug but not tight (and yes, Sean, am talking about my watches)...

I find it depends on what side you took the links out of. I wear the heavy ones slightly loose and let them rest next to the wrist bone. I'm lefthanded, so mine sits to the right, and the deployant is centered on the bottom of the wrist.

Loose, but not so loose they hang on the side or the underside of my wrist. A good way of telling it is too tight is when it leaves an imprint on your wrist.

Same here...  I size it snug, then back it out a click or two on the clasp - seems to work for me...

I guess I am at semi-loose. Just enough to move a little but not slide on me. :)

A bit tight...

No matter what size(big/small) and bracelet or band ...

I just don't like the feeling of my watch moving around my wrist...

Yeah, a bit tight here too.  I HATE it when the watch slides around on the wrist.  Oddly, I find on a lighter watch (for me, a Seiko Monster counts as "lighter") I can wear it more loose and it won't slide around on the wrist since it doesn't weigh that much.  But when you are talking about a 200+ gram Orsa Sea Angler on a watchadoo or an Omega PO, it has to be a little tight else it slides around on the wrist.

I have a pretty small wrist, so I usually wear mine pretty snug.  I allow for some movement for sure, but I dont like when they're too loose.  Wearing them a bit tighter also helps prevent unnecessary dings!

Not to loose, not to tight...must be just right:D   My best fitting bracelet is my Omega Seamaster with 2 half links...No slip slide stays in place.....Temperature plays a big part in my fit...

I adjust all my bracelets and straps so the i can easily slide a finger under it. They seem to fit best that way on me.

It depends on whether the bracelet has half links...so they either fit perfect or slightly loose...either way works for mehand6.gif....but I never wear them tight:D

Slightly loose if possible, otherwise the bracelet comes off and they go on a strap!

I like them to slide so when my arm is down the watch slides out from the cuff and is in plain sight when I wear long sleeves .....I dont like them so loose that they try to flip ....

It depends on how heavy the watch head is as well as the balance of it on the wrist. If when wearing it a little loose I am constantly flipping my wrist to center it, I either find a way to get it right, or sometimes it will mean getting rid of the watch. You guys will see that at least 90% of all my watches are on bracelets. I have never really gained a passion for straps, though it's changing a little now that the ones I do have are on dual deployants. That gives them more of the feel and behavior of a bracelet to me.

Semi-loose as well; got to be able to get at least one finger in between the wrist and the bracelet.

Cheers

So is that how one gauges the right amount of looseness - with one finger? I normally use two but I am finding my new Black Monster to be a little too top heavy for only two fingers.  The case keeps slipping over the top of my wrist - not all the way around mind you - but just over the top or down to the bottom - never stays centered at all. I find this annoying.  The bracelet is high quality but also very heavy and it keeps slipping three inches or so up my arm. So I guess I'll have to remove one more link or switch to a strap. Anyone else have this problem with a Monster or similar watch?

Always did the "one finger thing" as I don't like a watch to "flop around" on my wrist.

Also, it allows me to use a trick that works with almost every bracelet deployant:

When you want to open the bracelet and don't want to break your nails, first open the foldover safety clasp, than slide your finger underneath the bracelet, wiggle it in between the bracelet and deployant and push the deployant towards your wrist / use the lever to open the deployant! Voila! :)

Cheers

Matt
