This Luminox model has been discontinued but is still available. Does anyone have any experience with this watch or with Luminox in general? How do these hold up against the Seiko divers which are generally less expensive than Luminox? I especially like the unique design of the bezel and bracelet on this model. Thanks guys. This is a great, friendly, helpful forum!

I have a similar model, and for a quartz beater they are very solid.. only issue I had was the crystal seemed to easily scuff and scratch.. especially since I used it as my beater... (but didn't ever think I was that rough that it should be that scratched up).. Easy fix though as I sent it off and got a sapphire to replace it.. As for the bracelets.. for a beater I prefer rubber, NATO, or nylon... I have never used my bracelet with it.

There is a Luminox AD nearby and I have seen them at the local TJMaxx go for as low as $179. on sale...they look nice and are well made with Trit/Tubes but again it's a quartz and at MSRP I would consider a Seiko automatic which has excellent lume hand6.gif

From listening to my friends that wear them, they like them for the luminosity. They are campers, hunters, and such so like the dial. The clasp on that one is better than a lot of the other models from what I remember. Look up and try to find out what Quartz movement is in it, some have the high torque movements. I personaly would get a Seiko orange monster and never look back.

a Seiko OM is the best value for a little over 100 bucks .... if you can spend a little more, then the new Seiko auto diver with the "hack and wind" movement is A1 topnotch !!!
