Well after getting my Conquistador back and seeing the professional photos I just had to do it. I prefer the bracelet on the 600T. the polished beeds look "real" and it looks closer to the vintage bracelet. The 750T bracelet looks rough and unfinished and doesn't have the same effect. So out with the tape, dremmel and polishing compound.

I only wanted the beads bit polished so I taped off the sides and most of the end links that go into the SEL.

It is difficult to get right into the nooks and crannies and I actually had to finish it by holding the bracelet in my hand and flexing the links so I could get into the recesses.

Turned out pretty good.

I'm not sure what Doxa have done on the 1000T but the photos look like they have finished the bracelet more than on the 750T. I'm certainly interested to see what it looks like.

Pete

Actually it's not as bling as it looks. That was a concern and by leaving the edge parts untouched the bracelet has a polished bead part but brushed outer. I wanted to make the beads stand out more like the vintage bracelet but not turn it into a "jeez where are my sunglases":D

Very cool, contrasting look Doc (you can really see it in the second after-pic)...  and thanks for the quick tutorial on polishing, I may have to try that since my wife just picked up a Dremel.  hand6.gif

Well done Doc.  I agree that the beads look much better polished.  I did it on my T-Graph as well, only I used my lathe and a 3 step polishing wheel process.

BTW, Doxa should hire you for their photography.  Those shots are beautiful.

Thanks Mark. I did a better job with the light on those shots. The bathroom has a skylight and the sun was shining in. Of course playing with the manual settings on the Sony helps.
