I'm probably in the minority. As I stroll through Macy's I notice Kenneth Cole Autos.  Sweeeeeeeeeet.  Not necessarily anything I want per se.  But,  automatics are back.  I love to see the interest again. SO you have Fossil, Diesel, Kenneth Cole (which I think are all under Fossil) selling mechanicals currently.  They market to us young folk.  I know most of you have one foot in the grave......  But, if you didn't know........  Us young people are who sets the trends.  And the fact that it is being marketed to the young folk is ggggggggreat.   I realize that it makes prices go up.  However, it will bring some more creativity.  Wooooooooooohooooooooooooooo.  I can't be the only one, right?  Can I get an AMEN?

Well, hopefully the marketing to the young folks will cause sales to slump for the models us old folks like causing the prices to drop so we can drag our feet out of the grave and buy more watches of historic coolness on our fixed incomes. ;)

Geeeeeez....now I've heard it all....don't forget who made you "young folk" and who own the companies that create these trends for you "young folk" and who the original trend setters are and still are! ....Amen to that! :D:D  Happy to see the mechanical watch comeback !yourock.gif

Speaking as one of those with "one foot in the grave", ahem, I will give an amen to the return of the mechanical movements also...

I would get a chuckle from the quartz-phobes that abound (not naming any names), but am afraid I've become enamoured with mechanicals also (have dumped most of my quartz, but yet have another one coming in soon... go figure)...  hand6.gif

Yeppers the mechanical watches are getting more and more attention. Both the manual wind and the automatics. And the watch makers and watch movement makers are having to play catchup now. But it is very good to see. ;)

I am happy to see any interest in wrist watches and in particular the rise in interest around mechanicals. I could care less if it is marketed for old farts or young pissers. I just know I like it...
