It's a bit out there for me...  detracts from the overall look imho...

Very interesting concept. I think I would have to see one in person to really give a fair assessment or judgment on it though. :)

The crown guard is really unusual to say the least, it really doesn't work.

Hmmm....it is not a crown guard as the crown is outside! Maybe it is to prevent someone from pulling the whole crown stem out?! subtlelaugh.gif

Here is one watch I think it is more "practical":

I have never understood the need for such elborate crown guards. This one looks like a leaf spring in an old car.

Thanks for the replies, WIS. I am imagining the crown/winder guard functions in a similar manner to those found the on Ball Hydrocarbon. but it is dead ass ugly. I do like the rest of the watch and think it would look tough with more traditional crown guards.

I agree - the crown guard is way out there. It does not work for me - the watch looks great otherwise (black bezel/face with the stainless steel bracelet).  This is unusually for Hamilton.  They are usually are pretty conservative on the styling...in addition, the guard will get caught on everything...including your arm hair.

I vote NO.

I like the name on the dial cool10.gif but the crown guard was a bad idea. mistake.gif
