Good designs, understanding the target market and price, and being able to execute it in numbers that not even the Swiss can match.  I have never been big on them because my dad is and we need something more to argue about, but no one can match there diversity and consistency. 

I love the newer high end Seiko's Grand, Spring Drive, and etc..

Very cool shots Eric... :cool: and since you mentioned it,  do you by any chance have pics of a spring drive or maybe a quick explanation of what it's basic operation is?  tia...

What I think is sweet is the finish on the movement...not pretty, but refined.  Quite a difference between it and some of the crude, unfinished metals on some I've seen.

I have a lot of respect for the 7Sxx movements; they are solid workhorses.  I really like the Seiko 6R15 movements and the technology behind the Spring Drive is fascinating.
