OK, I have seen a lot of these here and there, but hadnt see anyone around here show one off.  Itchy finger says I like this Vollmer example, but wanted to see who has what (pics please) and maybe a little education on the origin of the style...  tia...

Don't know where it originated, but has been a favorite of mine. On the old time watch list, I have only seen Rolex, Panerai and Omegas with the California Dial. From what I have read the California dial Rolex/Tudor watches found on Ebay are just redials and never existed. I have a Glycine Incursore with the Unitas movement.

Not sure about the history either. Almost went for one like this a couple months ago and landed on another watch when I fell off the dence. LOL :D
