Ok, so I've been looking around the site and I have another question.  Why did you pick the watch magazine that you read the most? Maybe the question is bigger than that.  If I puchase all the watch magazines available all the time then I'd have less money for watches.  So I've perused them all and decided to just buy the one I like the most. However with a change in Editors over the last year I'm less impressed with my choice so now I'm back to finding the one that I like the most.

What magazine did you choose and why??

I get Watch Time and IW or International Watch. Both are good, and both basically review the same watches. I know there are others, I used to get hr Watch magazine, but it wasn't that great. I think the only reason that I get Watch Time and IW is that they are both the main watch magazines here in the US.

That's another good point. Why would I buy multiple magazines if they all basically print the same articles? Most of them seem to be published in the US Exept for DP which I believe comes out of England (and there's a premium to pay for that).

I get "HR Watch", but I really don't like it that well. I recently purchased "Chronos" at Barnes and Noble and thought it was ok.

I really have not found one that I like that much yet.

I don't know about this one, but it's another one.

I think the magazine from England is actually QP.

I prefer IW or Watchtime as they seem to be directed toward North american consumers. I am curretnly getting HR as a gift from the kind folks at Doxa, but to be truthful it is a bit Euro-centric for my tastes... yes, I am the Ugly American. InSync is ok but didn't grab me.

In truth they all have something to offer!!

Chronos and Insync are 2 I haven't seen yet. I'll try and find them and give them a shot.  I used to like  hr:Watch until they changed editors.  Now it seems less sincere.  Funny it should have a Euro feel to it-it says it's published in Fla.  IW and Watchtime were ok but it seemed like the advertisements outweighed the substance. It felt like a Cosmo for men.  As my wife put it " it's ok you still get to look at pretty watches"

But hon I buy it for the articles!

maybe I should learn german?

I've tried all the mag's I've been able to find and for information that pertains to me in North America it definetly is IW 1st and a close 2nd is Watchtime ...after that they seemed to be all about avant-gaurd and over the top weird crap

yea, about the same, IW and WatchTime (did you see the cool Ulysse Nardin on the cover of oct. 07). sometimes chronos is decent.  and if you get a chance to obtain some of the Antiquorum books when they do a major auction those are some interesting reading.

Ok do you guys read the articles or just buy them for the pictures?:P

On that same line, what was  your favourite article?  For me I'm always drawn towards Perrelet articles.  Their first generation of watches just fascinated me. I'm not so sure now that they've relaunched under the H5 group. But that's just me.
