Hi all, well for those of you interested in the outcome of my Fortis Marinemaster (original thread http://www.timetechtalk.com/view_topic.php?id=8115 ), it has finally returned back from service at the Canadian Fortis service center WSCC. It took almost 4 weeks, and has returned home in new condition. The service receipt simply states "basic service - no charge" so I do not know exactly what was performed. The crystal seems new as the old crystal had some specks in the AR coating, this one is perfect. It is possible that they replaced the watch head, I can't say for sure. End result is that I have it back, it works perfectly and looks like new. They honored the warranty which I thought they wouldn't (no dealer stamp) so I can't complain. Unfortunately, the watch still hasn't grown on me, so it will be hitting the trade forums soon :( So ends another watch saga. Have a wonderful evening. Mark |
