I am so frustrated with the CS dept of Gevril, I could scream:X First every phone conversation is dealt with a condasending attitude on the other end. Rarely is a response gotten without 2-3 e-mails or calls. I am glad I didn't spend 3-4 K on an Avenue of America or such. This must be the norm in the watch industry, a retailer of Omega's..friends of mine quit carring there line because they could get no satisfaction at the CS level. What a bunch of pompous asxxs. Oh, the issue....a crown tube assembly for my Sea Cloud:( |

Are you dealing with the New York office? If I ever have a problem with mine it would be good to know who and who not to contact. |

The coped the attitude with me right away when I told them I have my own watchmaker who could do the work. Unfortunately he could not source the right size tube for the watch or I wouldn't even had to deal with them:? |

That is messed up. Using their people or a outsider should not matter. They should want their watches and reputation to be top notch and do what needs to be done to keep it that way whether the watch is from a AD, pre-owned or gray market. Sounds like Sam Friedman needs to have someone retrained. Or replaced! :? |

Most manufacturers won't even sell parts to non dealers and in no way to a watch bought from other than one of their AD's or on the secondary market under warranty and even then they may balk.I tried to get a crystal for that 50mm Glycine T...and they said straight up no so I took it to an AD and he said if the watch was not under warranty who couldn't help so I had a jeweler buff it ouy as best as possible.I don't think AD's and manufacturers care about reputation in the aftermarket or grey market.I thought they were shipping it to your watchguy...what happened? |

When I confirmed if the complete Crown, stem, and tube were being shipped she had no clue. After 3-4 days and a second e-mail, Lea said no because all i asked for was the crown tube. As we discussed these usually all come together. She was to check with Switzerland as to when they could get one. Hadn't heard form her in 4-5 days to give me an idea of the time frame. 2-3 e-mails later, I still haven't heard. As far as Glycine..at least they told you up front. As far as having that attitude regarding where I got the watch, a little CS might make me buy more of there product.....with there attitude, hell will freeze over first. |

I agree Gumba a little CS goes a long way!hand6.gif I'll see if I can't get Sammy's # for you to bypass all the BS....I know Glen found a piece of lint under his GV2 when photagraphing it under macro and called Gevril with different results but it was bought from TT when at WSS and was taken care of quickly.:) I have had little experience with repair issues but those I have had recently have not been all that good so far with the exception of Steinhart which others have had issue with...I do stay away from brands that I hear bad experiences with lately...sorry to hear of this problem as I like my Gevrils :( |

We all get impatient T....I think most manufacturers don't realize the power of traditional advertising which is word of mouth...it's still the best form imhohand6.gif |

We sent 2 Gevril's back in the last month. I believe that one was because of the bracelet manufacturing and the other the type of movement. There was nothing wrong with either watch just not the type of pieces that we had been accustomed to receiving. Wish you the best of luck. :-) |

May just be hopeful/wishful thinking but maybe someone there was just having one of those bad Mondays, a bad hair day or wild hair you know where on the back side.:D Wishing you the best and getting that beauty fixed and the matter with Gevril resolved Tony. ;) |

Well 13 more days and still nothing from Gevril except a 2 word "not yet" e-mail last week from them after I initiated the contact............8 days after our last exchange. What a bunch of bozo's:X Sent another asking for an explaination of the delay. Hey, I know they did not make the watch in question and maybe they need to source the part, but why would you not tell the customer that it may be a bit of a challenge and it may take some time? My guess?? They dont care. |

I dont think he warrants what he sells unless its the lines he sells new..ie: Epos, thomas Gref etc. |

1st of all, if you are dealing with CS in New York, IMO, it is typical of the NY attitude to be rude and condescending (hope I haven't upset too many, but attitude is the rule rather than the exception in NY). That's why when I had my problems with my Hamilton, I looked for an authorized repair center that was anywhere but in NY! 2nd, what I find interesting is that the manufacturers themselves create most of the gray market by forcing unrealistic stocking quotas on AD's and by dumping their own overproduction directly (or through nefarious distributors) to gray market dealers. |
