No sooner do I post that TT has a rave review on the beauty of a watch..............seems Gevril is not to far behind eithergoofy
Premiering exclusively during our celebration, this oversized Swiss-built watch is a perfect illustration of the exciting new craftsmanship coming out of the Gevril-associated house. It includes a Swiss ETA 6497 mechanical engine, a specialty movement that Gevril has been holding in its collection for four years! Best of all, we were able to negotiate special event pricing of just $799, which is astonishingly inexpensive for this level of watch – compare that to the nearly $4,000 list price! You should also know that the event price is exactly that, and any not claimed during the event will be moving substantially higher in price. 2. Akribos Monster It’s finally here! For the many of you who have been waiting since the preview, the anticipation is over. This outlandish skeletonized mechanical automatic is one of the most innovative ideas I’ve ever seen from Akribos. The concept has stayed with me since first seeing the prototype at the Basel Watch Fair. And at the risk of making you jealous, I’ve been wearing mine for a while now. Although it’s huge, it’s surprisingly comfortable because of the beautifully curved exhibition back. The high-end alligator strap alone with dual deployment clasp lists for $100 alone. But snap up special event pricing on this statement-maker of just $399! 3. Exotic Wood Watch Boxes What better way to treasure your treasures? Thanks to some phenomenal sourcing by the Watch Team, we’ll be bringing you these true exotics with gorgeous piano finishing for less than you’d ever think possible. I’ll be very surprised if any of these make it to the show! 4. The Moscow Classic Collection The return of the “real” Russian diver! Moscow Classic is back with five different styles of Russian divers. Two styles of the 58 mm mammoth reproduction in stainless steel and a new black on black IP version. And, we're bringing in a 50mm lefty chrono version. This smaller diver has all the features and styling of it’s bigger komrade, but is a bit more wearable for those who want a true Russian diver without 240 grams to carry around. Remember... these are the real Russian mechanicals built by Russian watchmakers, using designs predicated on the original 1950’s Russian dive watches; not look-alikes with quartz movements. Day 1: Akribos & Gevril/GV2, Tuesday October 2nd 10pm ET: In addition to the world premiere of the Monster, look for additional specials and surprises as guest David Starr demonstrates the latest from this best-bet brand. Midnight ET: In addition to the major story of the Gevril/GV2 Submarine, look for Chris Page to unveil additional new finds from both brands. Day 2: All Things Russian & John House: Wednesday October 3rd 10pm ET: The watch industry’s favorite Komrade, Craig Hester, returns with “what’s next” from established and upcoming brands – including the very-hot-ticket Moscow Classic. This brand is the only exclusive distributor of real Russian divers in the US, and it’s back in five different styles. Two stainless steel looks, a black-on-black IP and a lefty will all be available. Each are made in Moscow by Russian craftsmen with real Russian movements! Use this advance notice to full advantage. The Moscow Classics completely sold out to newsletter subscribers last month before they even made it to the show! Midnight ET: John House, enough said. He’s a natural for one of our biggest nights! Get ready for tons of beautiful mechanical automatics with endless complications, all priced to move! Day 3: Watch Commander - Thursday October 4th 10pm ET: Surprise! It’s a solo hour where anything can happen and probably will. Tune in for watches you won’t see any other time during our three-day celebration.

Yea this should be one cool hand cranker. The case is wild and is curved so should ride the wrist very well. And one very kewl looking strap on it there. :) ;) Some other cool watches but already scored 3 others and have 4 pre-orders in the wind so do not want to get to crazy. Got to take it easy on the mail man ya know. hehehehe :D |
