CJ has that Longines and it is very sweet. I keep passing by Oris, Omega and Breitling. Wanted one of these this year and ended up instead with an Alpina and a Fortis which just seemed a touch more eclectic.

Still want an Oris, Omega and Breitling...

I do think Oris is the most underrated of a ll the major watch brands!

I vote also for Oris as being a seriously overlooked/underrated brand.

Unfortunately, all I am seeing are the red X, but I do think that Glycine is a seriously under-rated brand!

I'm not sure if Ball qualifies as an under rated or overlooked brand as they are gaining popularity, but I am finding that the quality and design of their product line is oustanding.  I recently got my third Ball, a Engineer Hydrocarbon Mad Cow, and it is without a doubt the best made, most robust and solid feeling piece I've owned (tied with the Ball Alligator).

Oris has been on my radar latley too, especially the Regulateur 1000m.  Lastly, Stowa deserves a mention here too.  As far as quality and apparent customer satisfaction, they seem to be pretty high.  Just waiting for my Prodiver to arrive.

I can't see Tony's selections either!!

Mark I like your point about Ball. They make a truly stunning product which far surpasses the expectations placed upon them at their price points. They do seem to be on the rise.

There are probably too many brands to name. Sometimes I think popularity is totally based on the amount of advertising dollars that are spent. Because of this, we as WIS tend to miss out on some outstanding stuff. "Out of sight out of mind" is probably the rule.

Personally I like EBEL . They are fine well made watches that have style and class. It does not surprise me to see some brands like Longines, Oris etc,etc mentioned as well.

Ball was overlooked , but not now .......Oris is undervalued ..... I love my Longines Spirit and am looking to get a Longines chocolate Vitesse later this month ......I buy a brand I see underated as I own a Limes , Ball , Oris , Longines , Titoni ...all brands I see as undervalued

I know it's heresy and a stoning offense in some circles, but I like Casio's G-Shocks.  I only have one but it sees decent wrist time, alongside my autos.  I'll get another at some point.  Yes, it's quartz and is butt ugly.  But the toughness, accuracy, multiple functions and cost are all appealing to me.

Ok, flame away

Oris is really undervalued, Steinhart  is also undervaluated;  in fact a lot  of brands  must be mentioned here... i think it is also true that a lot of brands are over rated! What do you think? any experience?
