Seiko has new models on the market. Really nice dress watches which: 1. Hack the second hand when you pull the crown :shock: 2. You can manually wind the watch! :D 3. Y'know.....The Swiss must absolutely HATE the Japanese watch makers.... That is just not playin' fair............ If Seiko could come up with an upscale marketing image they'd be...well....even more dangerous...Those'r some Purty watches....

This is absolutely right, Eddyboy!! In our Spanish forum, most of the members ADORE Seiko watches. And they have a good reason to it! Affordable timepieces, with movements and parts ENTIRELY manufactured by Seiko, robust pieces, durable, well finished... and for a fraction of the price of a Swiss... We are trying to organise a jonit purchase in Spain, and will see if we succeed! We have to talk to Japan sellers, thanks God not in Japanese! :P

From a design perspective, the four models posted leave me cold. Even the monster has some personality to it. These really don't. I'm sure they are super reliable though.

Matter of taste, of course, but the overall F&F etc is impressive.....That movement is going to take some skin off somebody's butt!! Take some of the more popular/classic designs and wrap 'em around one of these new movements and things'll shift some. Best of all, this kind of competition is good for us, the customers. It keeps the market price for a really good watch where we can still be collectors. I think it is the movement that I look at first and admire about a watch. There is a reason most company's now put an exhibition back on their automatics. I have a dozen or so quartzies of varying heritage and they are all extremely nice. However, only the better automatics and hand wounds move me on the inside and fill me with the ..... "GottaHave Monster"

Very nice Seiko's, the more I learn of their heritage, the more I buy! I have Marine Masters, getting the new 600M Spring Drive, Orients and I am looking for a Grand Seiko GMT again. Not sure who to buy from, does anyone? Great pictures of the new Seiko's!!:D
