Can anybody suggest some?

Like panny's/ and their hommages (i know they are out of the year bracket and much older vintage).

or Seiko 6138/ 6139 Bullhead and others.

Or Heuer Monaco...

Are there any similar style watches that you guys can suggest?

Well, not sure on the XXL part, but there are a few Tissot in around 40mm from the early 70s that are some sweet vintage pieces.  jdmac can probably give you some other ideas... ;)

Here's a Seiko Bullhead:

It is a nice chunky watch for sure :)
They can be found on the Bay, but patience is a virtue (something I don't have!).  There are a lot of beat up ones, but every once in awhile something nice appears.  I only had to have the hands and dial relumed on mine, everything else was in great shape and working fine.  Stay away from the sellers in Thailand, in my experience the watches look nice but are something else when they arrive.

Cheers,
Griff

If you really want some XXL vintage looking watches, check out this guy on ebay. I think they are called marriage watches. They take vintage pocket watch movements and put them into a wrist watch.

oh man....

I LOVE THE BULL HEAD.

I would dearly love to own one. But they are always beaten up on Ebay. You have the speedtimer version too. VERY lucky. How much should i spend on a Bullhead?

Sigh.... Too many watches, so little time and money. :)
