Hi,

Anyone heard of these watches?  They claim to be a private label watch made by EPOS and they certainly looklike the EPOS sub.  They also claim sapphire crystal and ETA 2824 but given the price they go for on e-bay, I'm a bit sceptical.

Regards,

Stephen.

Stephen,

I dont know much about the brand and it's relationship to Epos, but I have heard nothing but good things from the postings of the owners.

Thanks for that Tony.   Still a bit dubious (especially when I can't check it out first).  I think when the time comes for a Sub-style, I may just hold out for the Marcello C.

Stephen.

Yup, I had one. Snagged it off eBay right around Christmas time last year.

Not impressed. Basically ok, but absolutely nothing about it made me want to hang on to it.

Flimsy bracelet, bordeline non-existent lume. Felt thin, light and small.

Compared to my Nettuno 3, not even in the same league. The Marcello is light years ahead in terms of quality and attention to detail, plus it actually feels substantial on the wrist despite it's average 40mm size.

I know it's maybe a nitpick on an otherwise stellar watch, but if Marcello C ever took steps to really endow the Nettuno (and Tridente for that matter...had one of those, too) with really killer lume, you'd be seriously hard pressed to find anything better of that basic design and price.

Aside from that issue, you'll be much happier in the long run opting for the Nettuno over the William Marshall, no question.
