I can tell you from experience, keep it! When my grandfather passed away a couple of years ago, my father got his old Hamilton handwind he wore every that that he was presented with in the 70's for 40 years of service. My dad never wore it, and gave it to me. I had it tuned up, which cost more than the same watch would've got me on eBay, and never regretted it. It's much to small for me to wear, but I take it out and polish occasionally.

Hey, dad I was looking through my watches and came across the Citizen that you bought for yourself and then gave to me...I still have it and decided to give it a cleaning and new everything(the band had long ago fallen apart). I plan to give it to Evan when he is ready for it. Did you ever find a replacement for yourself and do you still have it? I was trying to remember when you bought the watch, was it when you were in Singapore? I have been collecting dive watches and wanted to get this one back to where it should be and thinking of giving it to Evan. Dave

I remember that.........didn't remember it was a Citizen but it was a fancy dive watch. I got at in Changi Airport, in Singapore. God, that seems like a lifetime ago. I got Lois a Seiko on that trip too, one to replace hers from the Virgin Islands, it was and is, a really nice looking watch. I have had a lot of watches, cars and women..........forget I said that! Drinking a lot in Hong Kong, and wanted a Rolex but ended up, waking up, with an ultra slim, Universal Genève, 18kt gold case and band, I still have it, wear it........almost never. Said to be worth....replacement $6k? More? Like my diamond ring and Pinkie's old star sapphire ring, in 18kt gold(which I won from him)........he never forgave me for winning it. They are all in a shoe box. One that I really liked was a Seiko, I got in the Virgin Islands, it was waterproof, good to 100 meters, with a natural rubber band, I had it for years, replaced the band, numerous times. Gone now. Miss it. The one you are talking about is the World Dater...Seiko, got it in Singapore really nice watch, but my wrist has gotten thinner and so, I had to take a link out of it, too tight now....besides, I don't travel around the world anymore. The cost of airfare and the dollar to euro, well, no plans for Italy next year, no plans.................in a rut. Wearing today, a Timex Expedition, $50 cheapie, the band sucks, but it tells time....what do I care. Tic Toc. Maybe I get him an ORSA style Vietnam watch for Christmas.... ![]()

Citizen Kane Watch Update!! The watch should be on its way, maybe I will get the Monstrum, the Orsa Military and the Citizen on the same day? I am thinking of giving dad the Military watch as a christmas gift as he did his tour of Vietnam(Navy) and is now running a basic Timex. I may hold the watch, as my son is only nine years old...and not sure he can hold on to it.. Pictures soon. Dear SHADY This is notification of shipment of your item.
