visited the only Ball dealer in my area yesterday, and in a word...WOW. My goal was to see the diver many of you own, well...to be honest, not for me, smaller than I expected and I dont know if it was the halogen lights, but the sunburst dial, made it almost impossible for me to read the dial without tilting the watch....that said, this one has got me inches from a big selloff to get...............

Hydrocarbon Magnate in the white dial..............these stolen pics dont even do it justice.

I have never seen such beautiful bracelets on a watch before.

What to do...what to domistake.gif

Actually its only 40mm Hucky, but WO crown. Obviously the crown adds width, but what makes it work is the lug to lug span, it just fit my wrist like a glove. The bracelet is a work of art.

I will let you know buddy.

I really think you would like that TD.. and you deserve a good Ball!!

BTW, glad you got to handle some Balls in person. They really are spectacular, no? Especially at their price point.

Well if I had, I would have already posted them.  Went for the Ball Museum Tour, but they had to reschedule.   They had two large cases up front full of Balls.  Just about every model they have was displayed.  Checked out the TMT Diver, COSC Diver, Day Train, Heritage, brown dial Skylab, and Inspector II (which I have never seen anyone have), among others.   Needless to say, they had to wipe down the cases after I was done (drool that is).   Didnt  leave empty handed, as they had a rubber strap on hand for my EMII diver, which I promptly snapped up.  Oh yeah and there was wine, cheese, and hors doerves (for the Franck Muller event going on at the time).  Like Tony found out, you can't really appreciate the quality of these watches until you handle them in the flesh... ;)

The white dial can be a bit brighter in the dark. But, the black dial is easier to read in the dark. A must for me would be to get a Ball with a 'tube' on the second hand. It brings the watch to life in the dark seeing the sweep hand moving.

For the money you cant beat what you get per dollar .........My first ball was a worldtimer bought new in 2005 .....most people thought it was cool looking but there wernt many of us back then who owned them....the local Rolex AD had a salesman who had heard of them but never saw one, and when I showed him mine he saw little difference in the qaulity between Ball and the brands he had ( Rolex Panerai Patek etc. ) These are watches that can stand up with all the best and dont have to take a back seat  ..... You deserve one Tony and I hope you get one ...... and if your havin a sell -off , let me know bud !!!

They are beautiful.  I stopped in at the local dealer a couple of weeks ago and almost walked out with one.  I like the Marine diver though.  The national sales rep was there that day and he had a collection of old pics and a few original watched.  He was really knowledgable.
