Howdy and Happy Thanksgiving to my neighbours to the south. I've been asked for some Christmas ideas and I thought Books!! So I ask you all for suggestions on Watch repair books. I hope you can help me put together a list to pass on to my family and friends. What books helped you out or are a great resource of information? Thanks a lot!

When I got interested in watch repair I went to the Purists forum and found this link(below)....I have most all of them and they are useful ...I have recently added couple not listed that serve as a good reference for parts identification and overall knowledge of what each part of a mechanical/automatic watch are called...I will pm them to you Andrew...you can click on each book in the link for a brief scenario ![]() http://www.pmwf.com/Watches/WatchSchool/WatchBooks/WatchBookOverview.htm

Thank you for the link Oscar, I think I will add at least DeCarle's book to my Christmas wish list along with the TZ courses and tools. Cheers, Griff
