That' good to hearThumbsUp02.gif I ordered another item on the 27th and had to give them a little e-mail nudge....shipped right after.

UPDATE:  Those crazy Shnoop kids.  It arrived late today.  10 days after I ordered and with no email to ever let me know that it had shipped.  In fact, all of their emails to date were that it had not shipped yet

One other note is that my watch is not exactly Mint New like the last one.  No stickers, no blue film, and one little nick on the bezel at the "12" (plus free case-back scratches) that I'm not going to have a panic attack over.  Hopefully, everyone else's here will be Mint New.

One thing is certain.  Their communication is way off this time around

I ordered & paid for a blue one on the 28th after confirming with them that it was in stock and would ship upon payment.  I gave them 10 days and they still had not shipped and no notifications sent.  Their only responses to my emails have been that they have had some "glitches" in their system and that it would ship in 24 hours.  That was 3 days ago.  I cancelled my order, cashed my chips, and am heading for the next casino.  I'm probably an isolated case if past is prologue - hopefully.

Luckily, I got in on the first wave and got mine within 3 business days.  This time, not so lucky.

I sent an email to them yesterday because my account status shows that the transaction is still pending, however, PayPal processed the payment.  Order was placed on 12/3 for the Black and Red bezel.

No response from Shnoop :(

Took them 2 days to get back to me via e-mail so hang in there. Kinda' disappointed with the service this go 'round:?

I ordered on the 3rd, my order status changed from "pending" to "processing" late on the 4th, and it showed as "shipped" yesterday on the 6th.

In their FAQ they state that they will send an email link to track shipping when shipped, though I haven't gotten said email.  Just hoping that the watch is in the mail and I'll see it next week.

I, too, sent an email asking about status and received no reply.

I ordered mine on the 2nd. It is still showing as PENDING 5 days later. My first one came four days after I placed the order.

Hi All Who Ordered.

Got mine today. The watch was running when I opened the box.

Thats a good sign I believe. Looked brand new. Still had the

995.00 hang tag on. Blue on the clasp, plastic on the back. No

plastic on the front. All paper work included. Instructions for sizing

the bracelet also. No scratches or bangs anywhere I could see.

The blue is FANTASTIC. Very deep and dark, almost black. Looks

great in natural light.

REAL NICE WATCH IMHO.

Lets all wear them in VERY GOOD HEALTH.

This is all very interesting this time around.  The first one I bought at Thanksgiving came in pristine condition.  The second that arrived on Friday was not showroom perfect.  No protective blue film on the bracelet, no dial protection, caseback did have the plastic AND several minor scratches in various places.

I wonder if Bulova reclaimed these from dealers because there is a new version coming out.  Actually, on the Bulova/Accutron website, the blue version does not have a red tip on the seconds hand whereas mine Shnoop special does.

Perhaps this is the last of the ETA 2824 versions because Bulova/Accutron is having difficulty buying that movement?

Could these sales in any way be connected to the purchase of Bulova by Citizen?

Maybe more deals will be forthcoming.

Look for Bulovas and Accutrons at TJ's in the near future??

I'm pretty sure the sales are due to the sale of Bulova/Accutron to Citizen and probably include excess and older stock...my local AD is closing them out as well....for the 2 I received from Shnoop the 1st time around were completely sealed in wrap including all paperwork and hangtags....sorry to hear of any thing other... I reccomend e-mailing Shnoop fromt their site and see what they have to sayhand6.gif

Hi

What would be the proper way of filling out the

warranty card for this watch? No markings or

stamp from an AD.

Is The 5 year warranty still good??

Thanks

I ordered on the 5th and noticed the status on "my account" showed shipped on the 6th.  I read this thread, so emailed them and got a reply late last night that watch had shipped and they gave me a USPS tracking number.  Went to USPS site, entered tracking number and watch is in Greensboro, NC.....so I should have it delivered to my office on Monday.  All I gotta say is..........

I received an email from Shnoop at 3:45am this morning.  They replied to my email, concerning account status remaining as "Pending" since placing the order on 12/3, with the following :

Thank you for your recent order. We were waiting on a re-supply of the 28B83 model, which was pretty popular and sold out rather quickly. We have since received it and will have your order shipped out by Monday via USPS.

I can only hope that the shipment is new stock and equal to the condition of those received by everyone that took advantage of this deal when it was first offered in November.

Hi All

I dont know if my blue one was factory fresh or not.

I dont think it was. As I said it did come with all paperwork and

did have the plastic on the back but none on the dial crystal.

Also the blue was only on the part of the clasp that was signed.

The remainder of the bracelet had no protection at all. Also

the hang tag had a price on it with a stock number, I believe.

Looks much like it was in a showcase.

The watch is perfect in every way. It is in the exact same condition

i would expect if I purchassed it from a dealer out of the case.

Keeps great time so far and it is indeed beautiful. No scratches or

dings anywhere. GREAT WATCH especially for the money.

FWIW, a good number of watches come without plastic on the crystal. At least in my experience. The plastic can come off in handling anywhere along the line. The bracelet blue tape should be on unless it was removed by a Jeweler for sizing or to put in a display case in a store.

Mine just arrived here at my office.  I got the blue dial.  Beautiful watch.  The blue is very deep, almost like a black.  This watch and bracelet are top quality - especially at $250...really nice.  I would't pay the $995 suggested list price...but I would pay $500 with no problem.  More of a dress diver.  Some brushed finishes, but mostly shiny.  The bracelet is really, really long.  Almost two bracelets in one ;)

I'll post some add'l comments and pics in the New Arrivals section, when I get a chance.

Finally came in the mail today.  I ordered mine on the 3rd, delivered on the 12th.  I ordered, and received, the red/black bezel combination.  Sweet.  The presentation box is nice, I must say.

The good news is that the watch is pristine.  perfect.gifThe crystal and clasp were covered in protective plastic.  No scratches to be seen.  Very nice!!!  As commented above, the bracelet is very, very long, heavy and nice.  The bezel turns smoothly and is perfectly aligned with the dial.

I received a manual and warranty card, but no instructions on sizing the band.  I'd welcome any clues from anyone who has cracked the code on how to best adjust the band.  Thanks!

The instructions on the bracelet are in the manual you have in the box. cat28.gif

I remember you mentioning this in a previous post, so I read through the book twice.  Must have missed it...I'll check again, thanks.

Okay, read the "Owner's Guide and Warranty" for a third time and nothing on the bracelet.  This is "Book 552" for the mechanical automatic.  Maybe I received a different manual than others.  I'll figure it out...or else I'll simply wear it around my neck.  Lord knows it's big enough.

Hi

I agree. The bracelet is way long. Had to take a bunch of

links out. Well I didnt take them out the young lady that

works with me did. She is VERY mechenicly (cant spell That)

inclined. The instructions for the bracelet sizing came on a seperate

card in the bottom of the box under everything else. She did it with

a mini spring bar tool using the push end.

good luck.

Nordstrom,

Billy S. is correct. It is a card. Mine was in my manual. I have scanned it for you and blown it up a bit. You should get a better idea how to size it from this.
