Agree with Paxman.  I picked up the blue one too and this is a very good buy.  Top quality for the price.

I agree 100%. It is now one of my favorite watches to wear during the day.

However, I ordered my second black/red one 12 days ago and still haven't received it. :X

Mike,

Send them an e-mail if you haven't. Seems like they need a nudge to get off the arses. Got my Coke bezel yesterday.

Mike,

I agree with Tony.  They told me that the order was due to be fulfilled after they received more inventory for the "coke" bezel version.  Order was shipped on 12/10 and received on 12/11.  This was after I sent two emails regarding status of order.

Good Luck and I have to say, this is one sweet watch.  It also happens to be my first ETA 2824 watch.  Love watching her in action.

Not in my collection, but owned plenty...I think the Monster would be a good comparison for dial/ bezel case size. What makes it perfect for me is the lug end to lung end dimesion..drops perfectly at the end of my wrist.

Absolute perfect fit for me.

Tony, NYR,

Thanks for the suggestions. My watch was shipped Monday of this week. So, they must have shipped it via parcel post because my all black one came just three days after I ordered it. This one has been 5 days and counting. And, I placed the order right after it went live on Dec. 2nd. REALLY slow this time.

Fellas, as you can see this is my first post. Thanks to you and others here I pulled the trigger on a blue one. I NEVER would have chosen blue in a million years if not for your pictures, but since I have the other colors in different watches this will be a nice change, and it is a very pretty blue!

I don't have many Swiss watches. I just bought a Zeno, and my Krieger Aficionado is being serviced/cleaned/overhauled to the tune of $500 ! I'm wearing a Chase-Durer today but the quartz incarnation. I'm very excited to get another Swiss Automatic.

Looking forward to learning a lot from you folks. Happy New Year...Tom

It's the Zeno Magellano Day/Date. Just a little casual watch for those days when all that stainless is too much(when is that?:))). Thanks for the welcome...Tom

Tom, welcome to 3T...and you are going to luv the Accutron...I snoozed and missed the 1st couple of go-rounds on it, but got lucky and ordered one a week ago.  It arrived Christmas eve and it is awesome.  Except for my Hamilton Khaki chronos form TJ MAXX, it is one of the best snags ever!

Thanks Ken and everyone ! I've seen a few folks lament the slow delivery and the fact that they missed the deal. Being a new shnoop.com member I've gone back several days in a row now, and they seem to be running this deal frequently, at least in the "yesterday's deal" section. Finally, they showed my order 'shipped' the very next day, so I hope that means that I'm lucky in that department.

30 years ago, I had a "Railroad Approved" Accutron. I'm a Locomotive Engineer by profession, and my company designated a retailer/wholesaler to offer us watches at a discount. That was a great watch. When I was promoted, my Father bought me a Seiko Chronograph to time the measured miles on my Division between Detroit and Toledo, Ohio. I really had a use for the stopwatch :D. Somehow over the years I lost that Accutron, so I'm very happy to find this one in an attractive and functional configuration. I wear a Chase-Durer to work these days.

Thanks for all the warm and encouraging posts fellas...Tom

This is my last post on this subject smile8.gif. It's New Years Eve and I got my new Vx-200 in the mail today ! Talk about surprised. I didn't even think there was mail today, and I was looking out the window at 10 am and here comes my mailman rotating a small box which was the perfect size for a watch box perfect.gif. Anyway, you guys have seen too many Accutrons, even the blue ones;), so no pics, but many thanks to those members who made us all aware of the deal on shnoop.com . It's a lotta watch for $250. My best deal ever. I think I'll wear a blue pinpoint oxfordcloth shirt tonight .

By the way, my wrist is 8.5" and I need a couple links taken out, and that's a first !

Happy New Year !

Tom
