Been looking at 2 mechanicals one is Aristo with Molnija movement , other is O&W with Unitas 6497. Which do you guys think will hold up better in long term?  I borrowed the photos from Wesct Coast time and gnommon watches.  I really like the look of both of these.  Simple but still interesting.

it would be your preference as the O&W has lume and the Aristo does not but has the nice furnace blued hands.hand6.gif...both movements are basically bulletproof imho...I owned both and have plenty of Unitas and Molnija movement watches that have served me well over the yearswatch2.gif

Hi Romano

I dont have either watch but I do have watches

with both movements. I like them both  A lot.

I like the hand cranks, they make me feel to be

an important part of the watches function. They

both have a really nice TICK to them. The Molnija is a bit

louder IMO. If the backs are open you will enjoy seeing

either movement at work. They are pretty decorated

or not.

They are both very good movements, BUT the Molnija is a heck of a lot nicer to look at!!!

I'm a sucker for the blued hands myself... and sounds like the Molnija is a solid movement, so I would opt for the Apucto myself... ;)

I have the Ocean Master by O&W with the same movement.  So I'd go for the O&W....gotta love that ticking on the hand cranker.  Plus that yellow dial is real cool man :D

Go Molijna - the factory closed down and has stopped producing the movement; so its gonna be harder and harder to get.

Thanks-
Marc
