The crown on this watch is too big. Can I replace it easily? Where can I get a smaller crown? What kind of crown fits the movement? Any help would be appreciated.

I checked both those sites, but came up with more questions then answers. I have no clue how to pick the correct size. Would all crowns fit as long as the size is correct? Being that this is a pocket watch movement, does that mean I have to get a pocket watch crown?

Did you ask them? They should be able to guide you since it appears they have choices? Also shoot an e-mail to Duarte at milwatch@gmail.com he might be able to help and even do the swap.

Chick you would need to buy a crown assembly which consists of the crown and winding stem and if that is a screw down crown you would need the threaded tube as well.....it would have to be for the Unitas 6497 and they are all the same size watch2.gif have you ever changed an assembly?... cause if not I would take it to a watchmaker and have him do the switch or send it to Duartehand6.gif

I'm not going to mess with anything. It will be taken to a watchmaker for sure.

Thanks for the help as usual. You guys are the best!
