i think i like the Debaufre more, its more slick & the colour is nicer... but now you've scared me about the reliability... it will be a couple of years before i could buy another watch (student)... p.s thank you all for the great advice & insights

Personally I would consider both movements to be functionally equivalent (same accuracy and reliability), so it all boils down to whether you want to pay extra for the Steinhart dial. There will also a small customs fee for shipping overseas, but thats a minor issue.
