X-wind today

I think the leather strap on this watch is one of the best out the box I have ever experienced.

Yes the dial and ceramic is brown.  I had a tough time trying to photograph it so the texture of the dial would show and the case not reflect since it is very highly polished.

AHHH, the Rolex Pepsi. To die for! My dad has this model. He bought it 1956 and didn't even realize he had to have it serviced regularly. Then in 1993 I took it to Singapore for some servicing. It was still keeping perfect time and aside from the service and rejuvenation, all it needed was just a new bezel.  The Pepsi is a keeper anyday. Kudos, pax. They don't make them anymore and I don't really fancy the replacements in black ceramic dials. Just curious, I see some of us post watch pics with the crowns open/unscrewed? Is this on purpose? Just curious, Pax.

Thanks BRP. This model is the one I wanted for many years and was finally lucky enough to grab just as it was being phased out. Just an iconic watch imho! Great story about your father's GMT.

As for the crown pulling. I'm hacking it to set the hand(s) position for the picture to bring some symmetry to the dial. 10:08:24 or thereabouts but a little different with the 4th (GMT) hand. I am a dork!

Today is Friday and this is the watch I am wearing, a Rolex Yachtmaster with platinum bezel. This is also my first ever attempt to post a pic, thanks for Skip's tip.

Hahaha. I'm a dork too, and I have proof...look how my first picture post came out. A disaster.

That Pepsi is a keeper of keepers!!
