Ok...so at some point after dinner and drinks, please do tell!!!

I did a quick look and see that this might be some sort of rare prototype piece from Steinhart???

Whatever it is, I love it!!!

Congrats on what appears to be a very rare one!!!party.gif

Geez you guys make it sound like mission impossible trying to get one of these Vixa Type-1s!

I will keep looking - and if any one with a set wants to deconstruct their set - let me know! O - I have already been looking for 3 years, and haven't given up yet...

Wonder what they look like on mesh??subtlelaugh.gif

Thanks Stew! It is a rare prototype from Alldaron who has or had something to do with Debaufre. Ever so often he opens his safe and lets something go. It has the 51 jewel Swiss-built Dubois Dépraz 2020 automatic Chronograph movement that i have not had time to research, but from what i understand it is a stack of two movements. It came on the bracelet but i did not care for it much. I have always wanted what some people call a panda watch but never found the correct one until i saw this. I sure hope the movement never needs a repair as i bet it would cost a bundle.

I'm pretty sure that is the same movement that is in the Steinhart Mach 1 Chrono then...I'm not that familiar with that particular movement other than noting it is a piggyback (stacked) movement.

Regardless...a very sweet piece indeed and obviously a piece you will never run into, except in the mirror!!!thumbsup.gif

So you are the guy who snatched it on the Baytoon1.gif....I was following it but I wasn't enough in love to go loose on it... Your movement is a 2824-2 ETA with a module Dubois-Depraz on it. Somes like it better as it's more smooth than the 7750 and don't give the giroscopic sensation on the wrist as soon you turn your hand. Somes say that it's harder to service than the 7750 and more fragile. The 7750 valjoux is certainly more sturdy in my opinion. Congrats!
