That watch is certainly unusual and I find the huge sterile bezel is a very interesting focus point.ThumbsUp02.gif

Dont mock the bag it made it though college and counless parties loaded to the brim with cans of beer and burst fruit juice for the gin, I have used it as a pillow, I have been sick on it (its been washed) and its still alive!! Mock the watch but not the bag subtlelaugh.gif

And yes I post the Fortis a lot but thats cos I like to wear it to match my bag not the other way around!!

Thanks Graham and William.

The gadget is what I use to time meetings with people at the office. If I meet pretty maidens, no time limit. If with grumpy guys, short meeting beeped by the timersubtlelaugh.gif

Graham, you'll be amazed at William's watch. It's got HEV, too.

I do like this one you have, its a lovely looking time piece and the hands are almost identical to the Artego.
Also I bet you do not have a bag to complement it....... ThumbsUp02.gif

Unique case back, ChrisThumbsUp02.gif. Can you share what the index and numbers are for? Is it truly functional?

Hi Jeff, agree...the case back is unique on this one (and I always love stealing a peek at the beautiful Valjoux 7750 engine and nicely engraved Hamilton rotor on this one).

The index and numbers are functional if you are a pilot (but I would say not very practical to use in real life at all).  The manual goes into a fair amount of detail on how you calculate crosswind with this timepiece.  The index and numbers on the back are used in conjunction with calculated values from the rotating bezels on the front (The caseback graph denotes cross wind angles in degrees, the y-axis is crosswind component in mph, the left side denotes the headwind component in mph, and right side denotes the tailwind component in mph)....the detail on this goes on and on and, I have taken no effort to really understand how to do the calculations my friend...

...so functional, yes ....practical, definitely not   happy.gif

Now that is a lovely piece you have there..is there a watch in that bezel? subtlelaugh.gif
Only joking that is very attractive, very smooth and the orange is nice and pale. Its like looking at a watch volcano from the side....simmering away.

orange? Talking about the dial?
It's yellow like on mine I think. It's a very cool watch, very solid and lots of personality. :)
