Not exactly a watch I'd wear to work usually but this morning it spoke to me when I opened the watch box... I'm on vacation tomorrow night and in my mind I'm already 4500 miles away in France so I'll go a little more casual :)

Have a great day everyone!

Attempting to artificially brighten my day today with the 750T Pro...

I hope you guys don't mind me posting this 'off-topic' info in the daily section (but you guys are like a second family here at 3T)...[I know you dog lovers will understand].

We had to put our 12 year old Vizsla 'Cooper' down last night after a sudden diagnosis and quickly declining health trying multiple treatments...in the end, it became the most humane thing we could do...a very difficult decision for us, and we sure do miss him greatly today...

Here he is in his element (with our beagle) during one of our camping trips 3 years ago...man, what a great dog...he will be greatly missed!

A pet quickly becomes "one of the family".  We had to put our 15 year old cat last summer, who had cancer.  Again the most humane thing to do.  I feel your pain.

I know the loss of a pet is extremely painful having had to go through it several time in my decades here...My condolences.  BTW, that is a beautiful Vizla...one of the friendliest animals on earth!

Tony...as silly as it sounds, I think we would be better off if Invicta were running the government!!!

Today, my Orsa on WJean mesh.... kinda really liking these mesh bracelets lately...

Cris, sorry about your dog.... my other jack russell, Maggie, is 14 years old and has been diagnosed with an adrenal gland tumor. Right now she is not in any real discomfort, and is getting around, eating, etc... and still a great friend.... I'm not looking forward to the day..

Sorry to hear of your loss Chris.  I know the pain all to well.  Especially if you're lucky enough to have at least one "perfect dog" in your life. My thoughts and prayers are with you.  God Bless.

Dave, Tony, Ken, Mark, Joe, Scott and others...thank you for the kind words on the loss of our Vizsla Cooper.

I lost dogs through my childhood years, but this is the first one my wife and I (and kids) have had to deal with as 'our family dog'...it is somehow much tougher (I think I'm getting more sentimental and soft in my old age).  They truly do become part of the family.

Thanks again for all the kind words...we know the sadness will fade as time moves along...   You guys rock! you rock.gif

...tough stuff...our beagle is only 4 years old and is clearly already missing her playmate.  I hope that we can move beyond the loss and add another dog at some point.

Some great dog quotes:

"Old men miss many dogs"  (Steve Allen)

"Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole."
(Roger Caras)

"The dog is a gentleman; I hope to go to his heaven, not man's."  (Mark Twain)

"If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went." (Will Rogers)

My theory is you get another companion ASAP. I've been without a dog for only three weeks since 1990. It seems a little calous but really each pet is special in their own way. I just cannot love without having that element of companionship in my life.

Well said Mark & Joe...I agree with you guys 100% on this.

We can't really picture our life without a dog (and for that matter, we really like to have 2 that can be buddies in life).  We already realize that no new pet can "replace" the one that is lost...I agree Mark, each one is special in their own way and in the long run, the joy that they bring far outweighs the feeling of loss (even if it doesn't feel like it right now).

I appreciate the comments guys...it is therapy for the soul.thumbsup.gif

Sorry to hear of the loss of a beloved pet. We lost our 3 cocker girls over the course of the last 18 months. Aged 13,15 and 17 years old. We now have Angus and are thinking of adding a brother.

Chris - condolences on the loss of your great mate.

Wherever dogs go - I reckon he will have my flat coated retriever there as a buddy to play with!
