So far so good with the 2824-2 running +1.5 sec in 20 hours.
Gives me a change from the other one with the MK2 dial

Wow gentlemen...the lineup today is spectacular!thumbsup.gif

Going with a new arrival...Alpina Extreme Sailing LE...impressed with many aspects of this one so far (I'll post up in new arrivals when I get a chance to take better pics...the natural light was very low by the time I took a few quick shots last night).

Wow Chris great choice! I bet this was not a late night shopping pick! Love the look as it reminds me of an IWC I have been eyeballing! The rear window is very cool and the in-house movement is easy on the eyes for sure! wowzer.gif Enjoy it buddy! mini me.gif

Thanks bro! I'm pleased with the result: Cool cocktail of nice parts.
Maybe not everybody's taste but kick's ass for me

Looks Great Will! Is that an OW Cougar dial? It looks like it's built to last a few lifetimes! ThumbsUp02.gif

Thanks! Yes, it's a O&W Cougar dial with Omega SM Bond hands and black date added. The case is 100% German-Made, good for 500m at list, with helium valve, double dome AR coated sapphire crystal... A 44mm beast.thumbsup.gif

I have to say I like that bezel too Will.  The combo is very different... thumbsup.gif

Thanks. Same case as my first one: Except that the bezel pip is white on this new O&W mod, and is orange on the previous MK2 mod...

Here's Oscar's mod:http://www.timetechtalk.com/forum69/21308.html

Thanks, guys! Yema LeJour Superman, a pretty uncommon watch. This is one that always gets put to the back when it's time to thin the herd. :)
Yema released a modern diver with a similar bezel lock.

my love.gifNice Chris, Alpina is such an underrated brand. Is that the in-house mvmnt??

Absolutely love this timepiecethumbsup.gifNice purchase to add to your ever growing collection.bravo.gifBIG CONGRATS

The AL 525 is a modified 2824-2 William. Here's the in-house mvt: AL 950

William, William, Jeff, and Trent...Thank you guys for the kind words on the new arrival Alpina!thankyou.gif

William is correct regarding the AL-525...it is a modified 2824-2, but since Alpina is a true calibre manufacture I like the fact that they do all the modifications in-house...it really is a nicely finished movement with a way cool Alpina designed rotor IMO (I'm very happy to have the sapphire window on the back to peak through)thumbsup.gif

BTW William...love that from-the-ground-up Alpina In-House AL-950 in your Regulator!!!...so sweet!!!

William - agree...an under-rated brand it seems.

Jeff - very cool you've seen this one in person at your AD.  They seem to be hard to come by here in the states.

Trent - you nailed it regarding the similarity to the IWC (lots of similar design cues to the Aquatimer 2K IMO), I have been eyeing the IWC for some time now too, and this one really checked a ton of boxes, and great bang for the buck IMO at a fraction of the price of an IWC...not to say I don't want several pieces from the IWC lineup (Offered a price to the AD, and they took it).
