No prego's that I know of, but I have a few bikes you might like. Ever thought about a Ducati 900SS SP? Of course its been worked over like my race bikes, but this one I use for back road fun. Its never been on the track. I put dual plug heads on it, racing coils, a stage 2 kit for the modified air box. olihns racing rear shock with ride height adjustment, ohlins internals up front, etc. Should give you a very big grin! On the dyno it pumped out 82 ft pounds of torque.

I'll be up that way in april for the ama races and I'll bring it along in the trailer. If anything else, we can just hit some roads around your neck of the woods.

Mostly, I just drive old man stuff now, Lexus LX 470, M-Class and a vintage, all original, MB 380SL - Ivory and Palomino!

As a young man, I drove an M60, A1, E2 105mm!!!! subtlelaugh.gif

You have to promise not to laugh. A  1988 plymouth Voyager and an LCM 8 (74 foot landing )craft on occasion . I also have some nice bicycles and some not so nice ones that work well. The best is a 1998 ? Bike friday metro in black.

No comparison to the 900 cbr. This thing will spin the tire at 100mph and snap your head back from torque.

Well... the lease just ended on my 2004 S60 ... so I know am trying to rip the treads off of my winter tires in my 1998 Volvo S70 T5 SE... this will be my little tuner project.  I should be able to take it onto the track this summer.  My last outing onto the drag strip I timed the 1/4 mile in 15.2 seconds at 98.7 mph. (0 to 60 in 6.7)  Not too bad for a family car!hand6.gif...that is stock!

I will be adding a turbo chip and large exhaust... bigger brakes and some cosmetic upgrades (HID lights!!)  I am hoping to drop a second off the 0-60 and aobut 40 more hp.  Not sure how much money to spend on a 10 year old car with 240,000 kms on the clock!

  Cheers!

I like to do the drags also with the family car. Its alot of fun. Your time are very good. You might want to upgrade some suspension components 1st to lower your et.

My bike does a 6.22 in the 1/8, and a 9.65 in the 1/4.

0 to 60 is 2.6 seconds.

I love it and my father drives one except they changed the name this yr to MKZ...Alot of car for the money 37K and it's loaded and they are using some of the Volvo tech now which makes it even better. If I don't get the new S80 I will be getting a MKZ

For the engine: Just the standard filter - but after a day like this it was due for a change. BTW: Nissan Patrol 4x4, 3000 ccm diesel engine, indestructible.

And offroad I could beat any of that high-tech, tuned-up, big-wheel 4x4 SUV's some site visitors had - with just that battered Nissan.

Will post pictures soon, but you all know the cars.

To work and around mostly; '98 Corolla (hey it took me through my long graduate schooling and it keeps running like a champ ;)).

Out and about business; '05 X5 but been thinking about trading for touareg (like the idea of driving around with chinese cooking oil smell ).

Hopefully, in years may be three; vintage boss or cobra.

I have the new Ducati 1098 in race trim. Picked it up in Georgia acouple of weeks ago. Ducati's rule. I rode a 749 at deals gap awhile back and was only off the pace by about 4 seconds on a 11 mile run. I also have a 900ss sp and a 851 with the 888spo in it sitting in my garage. I don't sell the bikes I ride, but I'll divorce a woman over one in a heartbeat:D

I always suffer a great deal of hesitation (been flamed once too many times, I guess) in deciding whether or not to post to a thread like this...but, what the heck, I still love cars so here goes:

My daily runner - Yukon SLT (Love this one the most!)

My "other" regular driver - BMW 740iL (Has been sitting in the garage since the end of December! Had it serviced today and out on the road for the first time. Still a thrill. What do you think of the "old school" Momo Silver Arrows?)

My summer toy and pride and joy - Mustang 5.0 GT Cobra (Canadian)

My "other" new toy - Infinity G35-S Coupe (Just picked it up from the dealer two days ago; has all of 86km on it now! LOL. Haven't even had time to shoot my own photos.)

The lease on my Honda Pilot runs out soon, so I've been looking for a replacement.  Right now I'm leaning toward the 2008 Subaru Tribeca, which is due out late this month.  They've cleaned up the ugly nose and rear, plus added a 3.6 liter "boxer" engine.  I test drove the 3.0L 2007 model and liked it a lot.  It doesn't look very big but it's actually 1+" longer than the Pilot.  We'll see...

MINI is the name of a Cowley, England-based subsidiary of BMW as well as that of a car produced by that subsidiary since April 2001.

The car, designed by Frank Stephenson, is marketed as a "retro" redesign of the original Mini, which was manufactured by the British Motor Corporation and its successors from 1959 to 2000. The name is written in capital letters to distinguish it from its predecessor. It is sometimes called 'The BMW MINI' or 'The New MINI'.

Congtrats on the MINI!  No doubt you'll both enjoy zipping around in it.  It's a blast to drive - especially the Cooper S with a manual transmision!!!

Thanks, this one does have the manual transmission...  I doubt she'll let me do any of the zipping though; but I'll settle for putting the top down on my convertible... ;)

Well.... I'm really not driving this one anymore.  (It's actually a BMW E28... the 2002i tag is a BMW joke.) We played bumper pool with the guard rails on the freeway on the way to work.  Alas... but I still have an E23, an E24 (my current pride and joy) and an E30.  I just dumped my 78 Jaguar XJ-S... I got tired of buying boats for my mechanics.

I am also a Ducatista (but I'm more of an Alfista). I ride a Monster 800 i.e. - very often too, go to work with it from April until November (I'm in Toronto, Canada). If this global warming thing works out, I'll be able to extend that period for motorcycle commuting even further. But, alas, I'm a skeptic, so I keep a fun car also, a red Alfa Romeo 164S. Just in case the alarmists are right I also have a Bianchi racing bicycle and a Fuji commuter that costs less than the next watch I plan to buy.

I had to turn in my leased Honda Pilot recently and replaced it with this Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring.  The 20" wheels are standard on this model. :D

I own a 2006 Mitsubishi Evolution MR "Special Edition".  It's my weekend car (or every other weekend depending on my schedule).  In watch terms, it's a like Grand Seiko with two tourbillons!

New wheels- 2008 Volvo XC70. I had a 2002 xc70 that I traded towards this last month. The '08 is based on the S80 platform and is a lot more car than the '07 and earlier model in terms of ride, fit and finish. Most importantly it has built in DVD! Inline 6 vs 5 cylinder, 6 spd auto vs 4 spd. The color is called premium silver, but it is really more of a light blue. Cool color that varies with the light

How about this?  This is my pride and joy! Its a 1953 John deere model R Diesel.  The first diesel JD made.  I collect antique tractors and also have a restoration business.  I do all my own painting. This was a total mess when I got it. I did a complete restoration on it. I had the pump volume increased 30% and the rack setting is at 18.  Stock setting is 10. with the 30% its a 21 rack setting!  When she's hooked to a sled she throws fire and plenty of black smoke.  I will have to post pics of what I haul it with now and my future hauler.  Scott

Anytime you want a lesson let me know!:)  I used to be into cars but found this tractor hobbie. Its like collecting watches, once you get one you need another and another and so on.  You just need a big building to store them and a good truck to haul 'em. The people are the best thing about the hobbie.  Real "down to earth".  Anytime you need help there is about 10 guys there to help.  It also is a family thing.  Alot of times you have 3 generations or more participating in the shows.  If you ever hear of a tractor show near you I strongly suggest you attend.  You wont be afraid to take the family. Its such a great hobbie I drove all the way from PA to Calgary to bring home a tractor.  4600 miles round trip with 15,000 pounds behind me.  It is though starting to get like the car hobbie.  The tractors are getting more expensive to buy.  Some of the rare ones are starting at $60K to$200k to buy.  Too rich for my blood.  Oh well, I will just stick to my putt putt JD's Scott

Ok, Heres what i haul my junk with.  Its an '02 superduty with at 7.3 TURBODIESEL.  Love taht diesel.  I am getting ready to put 4 in. exhaust on it and a programmer.  Then, when thats all done, NOS!yourock.gif  I love the fuel economy and then the power to pull when you need it.  My goal is to get it in the low 14's hi 13's in the 1/4.  Next is my future hauler when its restored.  1952 REO F50  I plan on repowering it, lenthening the frame to add a period sleeper.  I think it would be neat hauling the old tractors with the old truck! Fast and fun. A 1996 540i LE 6-speed with a stonking V8. As the British say - its "pukka".

I had bikes for a while (including a Ducati 750 chopper, but thankfully there aren't any photos to prove it), but I was nearly taken out by a couple of young guys in a pickup while minding my own business one day, so after that I decided that I would rather have metal all around me for a while. But bikes get in your blood, don't they. That's why I am going to get a Harley Fat Boy in a year or two.

Or after I get tired of collecting watches.  crap.gif

Cheers!

Jan you are one very eagle-eyed WIS! But hey - it has been a long time since I bought a new car! And I didn't even bother to look at the C-pillars.. mistake.gif I am waiting on a C63. Australian deliveries are sold out for a while. My black one will be here, I am told, some time in October 2008... perfect.gif

Well, I've got some "home field advantage", Ian ;)! Besides, I am even more a petrolhead than a WIS...

Wow, a C63 that's a serious piece of performance steel (457 HP, isn't it?) Incredible what cars have gained in power the last years (unfortunately also lots of weight).

Enjoy!

And it isn't done yet. Carbon diffusor should be here by the weekend, tint for the clear part of the taillight should also make an apperance by then and next week the laminex tint (yellow) for the fogs should be in. Also coming Polarg M4 bulbs to replace most of the interior 194's. They are pure white no yelllow already did the outside.

I'll contribute....

2005 Hummer H2, however I'm actually not driving it right now, hate the $120 fill-ups, it has been parked at my house in NC for the past year.

2005 Mercedes S500 - bought it about 3 years ago, one of my all time favorite cars

2005 Scion XA Special Edition - 2005 was the last model year for the XA's SCion kept selling them through 2007

2008 Scion XB
- My airport car, hated the originals but the new design is nice

Hey Huck, you're a bigger man than I, I parked my H2 about a year ago, really got tired of the $100 tanks of gas that only got me 300 miles....I have it parked at my house in North Carolina....I saw gas in Columbus for $1.87 on Saturday, I may need to make a trip down there and get it....I really miss it!!

Finally got some wheels after my last one was totaled.

My new grocery-getter LOL! Sorry, I'm one of the few that think it's a lookerhearteyes.gif. And, I also think it's one of the best engineered... test drive one and your Camry will be a distant memory!;)

This a few pics of my girl. She is a '78 Malibu Classic Wagon. She has a '71 LT1 350 engine, 17" chrome mags, and bunches of other features. For the most part I have built her myself and so far I have 10 years invested not to mention the ton's of money.

I have a 2000 Saab 9-5 Gary Fisher Edition and my wifes drives a 2008 Honda Fit Sport. So far I have 150k on Saab and it is still doing good. The Honda is a gas mizzer and we love it. We get 32 in town and the best highway has been 43 mpg.

My daily driver is 2008 Jeep Liberty Sport (no pics).  My "other" car is the 98 VW Cabrio I bought my daughter but have been driving on and off while she learns to drive the stick (she steals my car when she gets nervous about stalling the VDub).

My "other-other" car is a 76 Stingray that is currently being nursed back to health and getting prepped for a trip to the paint booth for a quick and dirty touch up.

And the wife has an '09 Liberty Limited w/ the fully retractable roof (she had to one up me).

There can be only one.

The greatest car ever made.

LC 80 Series Diesel Manual.

Go anywhere, anytime as seen here on the banks of the Mekong River, Cambodia last Sunday.
