Now thats a sharp looking invicta, glad to see you found one Oscar...

doesnt the 2894 movt start as a base 2892 and have a chrono module added?   does that make it rather thick
(hint, wrist shots...)?

i believe that 2894 is one of the most expensive eta movts and most recent eta chrono. it is certainly not a 2892 modified version.

i agree though about the wrist shots ;)

Wrist shots are on the way as well as pics of the movement which is highly decoratedhand6.gif

....Narin is correct that the 2894-2 is the highest grade chrongraph movement made and is the same movement used in the Doxa T-Graph...it started life as a 2892 but is not ...it was modified to create the 2894-2... it took life as the eta 2894-2 in 1996 as a "new caliber" in the eta history of fine movements and is highly regarded by collectors...winding is like as if winding nothing at all...like many of my higher end COSC watches...very cool!...it is 13.45mm thick... thinner than the 2892-A module chrono watch2.gifThere were many issues on release of the COSC Speedway which caused much controversy but patience paid off in finding one that was cared for like this one from Narinyourock.gif In speaking with Avery who knows much of the history of this watch told me the dial was to resemble the "Brickyard" as seen in the middle decoration and pics do not do this watch justice imho....I am happy to have found one and from a good friend who keeps his watches in impecable shape...TY again Narinthankyou.gif

The ani-digi Speedway is next on my list Gumba and even harder to find!...it uses a very high end movement as well and seems to have fallen off the face of the earth with the exception of yours!yourock.gif...these were 2 of Invictas very best imhohand6.gif...one more on the way from Narin...the King Kuda!
