Clueless not familure with the model. Seen it yea but for a quick few seconds on TV.

Wish more watch makers would do Tungsten though. Super tough and love the color of the metal too.

Can't wait to see what all you do there. ;)

Sweet looking watch!   I was at a jeweler today looking over some watches and he had some tungsten models.  Thats the first time I have seen one in person.  I really like the look of the metal.  I am seriously thinking of getting one.hand6.gif

hehe the logo and text are gone!
The "I" in Invicta was hanging down so I took a piece of scotch tape stuck it to the text and logo and lifted them clean off the dial.. A bit of orange oil on a Q-tip to remove the remaining adhesive from the dial and there is just a faint ghost of the logo and text where the dial is raised.

It still needs a new dial and hands that one is just ugly... and it's still and invicta... subtlelaugh.gif

I for one think its clever and a big improvement ....I am now thinking what a guy could do with several other invicta models ???!!??? Although you'd havta keep away from the ones with giant side casing stamps  mistake.gif

Well for starters I would change the colour of the dial...remove the hands and the bezel.  What you've end up with is...a GMT watch.

Thumbsup3.gifI was thinking the exact same thing!! subtlelaugh.gif

I really like the Tungsten case but the dial and hands are really.... lacking...class...
A seamaster dial would fit in it but I don't want to do that to a seamaster dial...

I am thinking a glossy black chapter ring, Tungsten colored Yacht master style dial (rough glittery texture) and simple classic black glossy round markers with real 50/50 c1/c3 superlume and black plongeur hands.

Add an applied logo  call it "Gresham GMT-1"
Next I would remove the Invicta engraved rotor and replace it
with a Plain ETA Rotor. With the words "Gresham Watch Company."Bouncy.gif
engraved on the new rotor.

I do have a nice fully decorated 2824 that I had thought about putting in it and I have a Grey anodized invicta rotor that would make a better color match to the Tungsten tide watch.. though I suppose I could use the regular decorated rotor too...

I've never owned an Invicta, therefore I don't know
what the quality is like. From what I have read so far in this forum,
it has made me think twice about buying one.

I think most people here would agree that the classic miyota powered diver is a safe bet and a fun watch to wear!

Chris, is that an all Tungsten case?  It must be damn heavy if it is!  We use solid Tungsten weights in our Cub Scout Pinewood Derby cars because it is much more dense than lead.

Cheers,
Griff

BTW, I like the mod!  How did you get the logo off without damaging the dial?  I would have assumed Invicta stuck it on there with Super Glue :D
