Well after 4 agonizing weeks my Longines Hydroconquest chrono has arrived, we took our first bath together last nightface4.gif First impression i got from it was that it is much smaller than i thought it would be. Im used to 42-44mm. This one comes in at 40mm. Quit a hefty piece at 196grams and the fit and finish are excellent. Not quite as good as my Hamilton Xwind but close, and the lume is the best of the watches i own. Concerning the size, I guess it wears smaller because it is so thick, guess it has to be thick to be rated to 1000ft. Another thing that i found odd was that the band is 21mm all around, it doesnt taper off like im used to. Ill post some pics tomorrow along with my hamilton and zodiac, if i can get them to come out right. In the mean time im awaiting another Alpha GMT (Gave the last one to a friend, the magnifier was way off center). And i purchased an Aeromatic chrono with a chinese 7750. Hopefully they will arrive in 2 weeks Last edited on Wed May 14th, 2008 01:32 am by deno24 |

Frustrating isn't it. Keep at it... it gets better with practice. I love the look of the watch in the metal so to speak. Looks like a keeper imho!! Enjoy it!!
