I received my Orange Angler about week ago.  I decided I wanted to do something different, so I took out the blk bezel insert and strip down the shinny chrome that goes around the bezel and the numbers/markers, by using sand paper.  I decided to to put a brush finish on the bezel only.  I painted the markers/numbers orange and in the grooves on the side of the bezel I painted blk.  Here is what it looked like.  I warning you guys I did not even clean it up that good, just wanted to take some quick & dirties so you can see the color arrangement.

Well I did not really care for that set up, so back out came the blk insert and I decided to to put a brush finish on the case.  The top of the bezel I had already put a brush finish on it.  I tried numerious different color combinations to paint this thing.  I even painted the bezel orange like the Orangia Angler that hucky wants so bad.  I just could not get the feel for it.  Well I found something that I liked, so I decided to go with an oil base enamel paint, something that would take a hardener.  1 Shot Lettering Enamel is what I used and a wet look hardener to go in it.  I also used a airbrush and purchased a really good artist oil paint brush.  I thought the 1SHOT paint might be something that could take a beating, if I bump the bezel into something.  So here is what I came up with.

Oh I could get bored with this and strip it down again and paint 1 thru 15 orange and the rest blk.  Also I am going to mod the hands on this baby and I think I am going to do it myelf.  I will paint the hands blk.

I like the combination you ended up with Teddy.  I especially like the brushed finish.

Really liking that second second treatment.  Maybe the dots should be
orange tho or even just brushed?
