After looking at yesterday's Longines and comparing
it with the Hamilton, both are great watches to add
to your collection.

Congratulations again on another new arrival.hand6.gif

Looks like it's in stunning condition for it's age. Very nice pickup.

I think I've reached my quota of long, 1930s streamliners...this is my Hamilton "Dickens."

Tom,

As I look at your watch collection of the 1930's and
40's, the craftsmanship is superb and the attention
to detail is something that is very rarely found
in modern watches.

There is a certain elegance and style which
separates classic and vintage timepiece from the
mundaine. With each passing decade, those watches
would only increase in value.

During those period of the Great Depression,
it still amazes me to see wonderful designs by
American brands like, Elgin,Waltham, Illinois,
Gruen,Bulova,Hampden,Wittnauer and Hamilton.
These were some of the best watches money could
buy with hand-wound 15 - 19 Jewel Movements.

Of,course the higher models may even contain as
much as 21 Jewel Movements. Your contribution
in reviving the classic and vintage watch segment
of this forum, deserves a lot of credit.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and
patience in acquiring your timepieces.

Keep those classic watches ticking.

Sincerely,
Simon
