Guys, all this talk about Omegas made me look into my drawer of unused watches(we all have them) and offered up a trade for my own Omega. A week of searching and negotiaions came up with the following:

The Omega Seamaster GMT 50th Anniversary!!!

The very desirable and discontinued black dial Omega Seamaster GMT automatic, is fairly large (41.5mm w/o crown) screwback all stainless steel case. Dial and hands are near-mint, sapphire is flawless, bezel is uni-directional and tight with proper ratcheting, case has a few marks from strap changes and some fine scuffs on the bracelet, nothing bad. No dings/dents/gouges. Watch sets and runs well, keeps very good time within chronometer specs.  Bond-style bracelet with hidden clasp, fits my 7.5" wrist. Came with one additional link,. Has its inner red box (very beat up) and  papers. Overall condition is easily very good, probably excellent, 82-85% conservatively.

I traded my Minty Eterna 1935 and a little Cashola for the Omega.  The Eterna is a beautiful watch but was siting in my desk here at work not getting any love.

Wrist shots shortly(Pics coutesy of PO).

Sorry but I have a soft spot for Eternas,
I still wished that I had bought a 14 kt solid
round case with matching bracelet. Many moons ago.

At least for now, I have my remaining watch collection
to help ease the pain.:)

Cheers,
Simon

I agree Simon the Eterna has a lot of history, but little wrist time.  The bracelet was a little tricky for me to take off and put back on also...which put a small damper on it's likability.....but a great watch no doubt.
