I have had this watch on my wish list for many years. This is an Ebel Sportwave classic in 18K & steel. I found this "pre owned" but nearly unworn with the plastic still on the case back. More than any other Ebel, I think this model is pure classic Ebel and I love it!  The first time I saw one of these it was in a friends watch shop and was also used. He wanted $1100. for it but I just couldn't afford it at the time. So from that moment on, I had one on my list.

woahhh .... that is very fresh and its an awesome brand ...
I remember the Ebel ads many years ago in magazines ,
the ad with the lady dressed in 1920's garb with her back turned slightly .... When I was a little kid I always thought that someday I might be rich enough to buy an Ebel watch

Right now these older models are quite affordable. 10 years ago I couldn't afford one but, now seems to be a good time to get one so I did.  I recently checked the Ebel web site and the new ones are spectacular. It appears that they are now making their own movements and if I remember correctly, all automatics are C.O.S.C. certified.

The collector I purchased this from had 4 for sale in different sizes and dials. I chose this one since it has a white dial with black hands and markers. The other choices were black dials with gold hands and markers which for me are sometimes hard to read. The last 2 he has are mid size which are very small (33mm.) and are too small for me. I know since I have had one for some time and never wear it. It's pretty to look at though with a MOP dial, gold hands and markers.  I got lucky, he said he only wore this watch twice. It still has the plastic on the back and on the inside of the bracelet.
