If the second hand has the same offset as the 6497 then I have more options, if it doesn't then I will either have to customize a base model dial or remove the second hand post from the end of the "thingymobobber" (technical term) so the base model dial will work with it.

Then I will mail that PW case off to cashforgold and get more money that I ever imagined!

goofy

Nice Movement

That dial reminds me of the Bernards Officer Watch

I assume that the 917 movement is a stem set movement. What other Hammy movments fall into this catagorey, Chris?

I know the 917 is a stem set, presumably the 921 is too!

My only concern is that it fits in the watch cases and dials that are available today!

Seems like a shame to put a dial back over the front of this!

Darn! I just got sniped in the last seconds on a nice looking, running 917 on the Bay.

Be patient, people pay crazy prices for them on the bay, you shouldn't have to go past 150.00 for the 917 in running condition and you shouldn't have to go past 200 for the 921, you just have to hold out for it!
I got mine for 80.00 shipped!

The biggest problem I have found with the vintage ones is they have frequently been bouncing around in someones parts drawer so the nice decoration is all scratched up on them, not good for a display back homage!
