This watch is WAY, WAY, WAY better than I expected. What a beauty! Zowie is all I can say about it. If you like big, Military style watches, this has to be on your list (unless you already have it of course). This is the cleanest, easiest-to-read dial I have ever seen on a watch. Not that there aren't others, I just haven't seen them. This dial looks like it came right off an airplane guage grouping. The best thing is they matched the lumne on the dial with the hands - everything is all white. Yeah!

The packaging and presentation for the price is awesome as well. Really nice leather type case inside a presentation box. The Island Watch polishing cloth was a very nice touch as well. It arrived from the Tundra on Long Island in just two days. Amazing.

Here are some quickie shots. I didn't have my camera set for the right light, etc. So, the pictures are kinda grainy. Not nrg quality that's for sure.
:D

Mike next thing to do is to time it and change the strap! It comes with a rubber strap right?! Yucks IMO!

Do time it a few times as the first time is always not the most accurate one.

Yes, I will time it. The strap that comes with it is always changing. Mine came with a nice waterproof black leather strap. I put a brown Hirsch strap on it yesterday. Then today, I put a thick Black Trias Military strap on it. It is the one in the second set of pictures (probably the one you don't like). I also have had a black leather strap on it with white stitching. It looks nice. I may order a couple of Hirsch Liberty (very thick) straps for it for the Watch Prince during their sale.

Mike, I don't like the original strap that comes with it. Cos it is the rubber! Or is it waterproof leather? It sure looks like rubber instead of waterproof leather to me.:?:?:?

It is not rubber. It is waterproof leather type of strap. It tappers to 18mm at the buckle. It is quite soft. It could even be a synthetic material. But, its not a rubber strap.

The fact that it tappers to 18mm at the buckle makes the strap look like it doesn't belong on this watch. This watch needs a 22mm strap with a 20mm tapper which is what I have on it now. Trias actually has some nice straps on their larger watches. So, I am using one of those until the Hirsch Liberty strap comes that I ordered tonight. The Hirsch Liberty is the kind of strap this watch needs. Check it out at http://thewatchprince.com  Look for the Hirsch Sale straps (click on the yellow highlighted Hirsch).

Depending on where you purchase the Poljot Aviator, you could receive a different strap. No Rubber straps though :) I have not seen any rubber offered on the Aviator series.

Maybe you are right, but I am sure mine is same as yours. Yes it is tappered to 18mm and it is too small for this watch.

I like the TRIAS riveted pilot watch which Ken put on his AVIATOR! Way too cool! For myself I put a 22/22mm snap on pilot strap from Watchrick.
