I made a trade with 3T WIS Sparkii76, and since we live so close we made the trade in person. Anyway, this is what I picked up... a Debaufre Nav-B, and I traded him my Debaufre CSAR, which I really liked, I just have an interenst in WWII history and I couldn't pass up getting a Nav-B.

I didn't like the stock strap, so i picked up a very vintage style cracked leather strap that looks like an old bombers jacket.

Imho these are just classic especially given the sterile dial. Steve, that strap is a sure winner. Very nice trade... now we need some shots from Sparkii!toon1.gif

Ok, I might have to steal that for my avatar!!!Thumbsup3.gif

I like the Nav-B myself, I liked it even better after paul made me the custom strap. After I recieved my Airforce Orange, the squares just really grew on me. Just really like the way they look and fit.

I went to KSU. I grew up in the KC area and picked the state school that was further from home. Manhattan was a great town in the middle of Kansas, 2 hours drive from my home.

Wow! Nice trade from the same respected gene pool; nice watches.  The Nav B is one of my faves and although the issued strap may not be as robust as what we may want it to be, it is the softest, most supple strap that I have.

Sparkii.....I like the very first wrist shot you took. Very creative perspective and it seems there's no camera shake at all. How do you guys do it.....can you teach an old dinosaur like me? Handheld shot on P&S? Tripod? Handheld but arm resting on a table? Nice shot, amigo!!!

Okay!!! If you see a good wrist shot from me, trust me when i say it was luck!subtlelaugh.gif Before i started to post pics, I asked for advice, what camera was best to use, what lense........you see i have a pretty nice camera setup. I have a canon DSLR with all the fancy lenses...takes great shots everywhere the family went...but I cannot master the watch photo with it (i know it is not the fault of the camera). The other camera I have is a point and shoot digital(Panasonic Lumix). I asked the same question you did one day and one fellow said,"I just use a little point and shoot in macro setting". I tried it on a nice sunny day and it worked pretty good. Really no real creativity to it, it is just the only way I can bend my short lil arm!mistake.gif

I strive to take pics as good as say....Oscar and pax. I think Pax rents studio time to get some of those shotssubtlelaugh.gif. Lighting is always perfect. Shadows seem to cooperate. I am just plain jealous. Oscar, with some of those wrist shots, he either has a fake arm laying around, he may be a contortionist, or he has a partner stand over his shoulder taking those pics:shock:. I cannot seem to get my stuff to bend that way. he seems to also have just the perfect lighting, white balance, shadows, etc, etc....

So now you know that if I have a half way decent shot, I am just as suprised as you are!! Hope to get better with practice!
