After having owned a Seiko Orange Monster for quite a while, I decided to get one of these next:

Since so many on this forum already know this watch, suffice it for me to say that this must be one of the best buys out there in horologia! I simply cannot fault the quality on this watch.  The bracelet is awesome, and 22mm at the lugs (the OM is 20) and the clasp is therefore beefier and feels quite substantial. I quite like the txtured middle links too.

One aspect I need to comment on:  I always used my OM as a benchmark for lume compared to other watches.  Not any more!  This thing shines a hole in the ozone layer!  Here is a pic of the FM and OM with their lights on:

No comparison!

And just for fun, a comparison with some other well known divers.  At the back is the Tissot Seastar 1000. A disaster if lume is what you're after.  In front is the Rolex DSSD. Lovely blue hue, but not nearly as bright as either the FM  or the OM.

Nice, nice new arrival, Graham!hand6.gifhand6.gifhand6.gif You will simply love that and might feel a burden removing it from your wrist for a watch change. It can be a very good tool watch and no matter how long you stay in the garden or work in the garage, the Frankenmonster will serve you sturdily can take all the gunfire and shrapnel. toon1.gifWear it in good health;););)

Bill, you'll never regret taking down one of these sturdy frankenmonsters. The yellow is very attractive, the orange a nice one t wear daily, the black very serious but the blue one in my opinion, is really the stunner.smile8.gif

Wow, Nick, you are giving me an idea.cool10.gifI didn't realize a leather strap on the Frankenmonster would be a great looker.

Nicely done. That's just a great watch and great value. I'm not a fan of the shroud case designs but the more I see these, the more I think I could get some use out of one. Enjoy it Graham!yourock.gif
